Finca "El bosquecito"

It is a magical place where we are building a precious and very original project. We are beside the city but in the middle of nature. We are going to do a lot of different things and we will learn about many different topics.
Construction of a Japanese garden, animal care, maintenance of the orchard and the forest.

I am a Bonsai and Japanese gardening teacher. I offer a family-like atmosphere, good humor, kindness, and good cuisine.
Working hours from 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday. Afternoons and weekends to go to the city (2 km) to the beach or simply relax.
The work is physical, learning to use agricultural and DIY tools.
We have a room with 2 bunks (4 people) or 2 Canadian camping tents for 4 people in size, but only one volunteer will use them.
The house has a bathroom, a shower, hot water, a jacuzzi and all conventional amenities.
The days begin with a few minutes of meditation for anyone who wants to learn and practice.
My intention is that it be a lovely experience for both the volunteers and me.

My experience has been unforgettable. Richard has been a very kind and gentle host. The volunteers I had the opportunity to work with were very nice, and I have learned a lot from them and from their lifestyles in their respective countries. I will never forget our conversations over meals or at dinner! Thank you very much for everything! My stay in Bilbao has been the best part of this summer; I have been able to get to know the surroundings and the locals 😄

The experience was amazing. Richard is one of those people you'll remember for the rest of your life; for his way of being, his cooking and his craziness. The work in the proyeto can be intense or light depending on the day. There's a lot of work to do, but I leave happy to have added my grain of sand. The place is wonderful, there are plenty of corners where one can disconnect. If you want to go to the city, you have to walk 15 minutes and then take a bus or a train, and in another 10 you're in the city. Bilbao is amazing, a city perfect that I encourage everyone to know. Big hug, Richard!!

It's been a real pleasure having you at home, Fran. You're a great guy who will achieve whatever you set your mind to. Here you leave behind a home and a friend.

Hello! So, you absolutely must respect Richard's privacy, who is a very kind guy, a former cook, so you'll eat well, he is very funny and loud, he knows the area well, so he can tell you, the natural life there is peaceful, the tasks required are intense but enjoyable, you must respect the schedules and his privacy, knowing that his bed is in the kitchen, the kitchen is simply not always accessible. I recommend it for nature, outdoor manual work and the beauty of Bilbao.
