Our experience at Finca Rivari was absolutely amazing. Most of the tasks were cleaning/construction works around the house. John is an absoutely amazing host. From the day one he welcomed us into his home and showed around. Through this time we have built a good friendship :) A car to go around the island is a MUST - you won't get anywhere on a bike in this windy and hot weather. I really recommend this place - it was our first experience with Worldpackers and I couldn't imagine better place ;)

Me and my friend had the best time on Lanzrote! John is such a nice guy, who makes you feel welcome from the first moment and with whom you can have a lot of fun and intresting conversations. The work is also fun and the Finca is a really special Place with a Soul. We had lots of different tasks so it never got boring. We could also borrow Johns Surfboards which was pretty cool. The Place is pretty remote, so I recommend going there if you like nature. Also, unless you are really keen on exercise (my friend and I rented road bikes) I would strongly recommend renting a car.

This was my first volunteering experience ever and I couldn't have ask for a better one. I had the best time there and from the first I felt at home. The tasks were various like painting, cleaning, housekeeping, building furniture and outdoor work. Jon is a nice host: kind, sympathetic and always ready to help out. He even let me borrow his skate and surfboard. You need a car for sure bc the place is quite remote and there is a lot to explore: plenty of places to discover, things to do... I suggest to come with someone so is more enjoyble and fun. Recommend this project 1000%.

This was my first volunteering experience and I'm really happy about it! I helped Jon with new photos for his Airbnb and with some light tasks like painting, cleaning, and organizing. Everything was easy and enjoyable to do. The place is very cute, very close to the beach, I had my own comfy room with access to the house which made my stay very comfortable. I also got to explore the island both on my own and with Jon, who was always available and super helpful. Thanks again for the warm welcome, hope to see you again for future projects!
