I had the most lovely time at Jose's farm. Jose is an incredibly kind and patient host; he cooked delicious meals, taught me a lot of Spanish, and spent nice times laughing and watching fireworks in Valencia. The work was fair and flexible, and Jose is very understanding; the farm was calm, simple and comfortable; and had beautiful stars at night to look at. I had a bike to ride and so it was very easy to get to Valencia to explore after I finished work. I would come back absolutely, as it started to feel like a second home after two weeks. Thank you Jose for the opportunity.

I had the most amazing Worldpackers experience with José! He would make us delicious breakfast, we’d work hard for a few hours, then spend the afternoon as we wished! This location is fairly close to both the beach and the public transit line to access the city of Valencia. On our days off, José took us to his favorite cafe and then on an excursion to a beautiful waterfall!

I loved staying with José at the eco village! The work was fair, and there was plenty of time for resting and relaxing. The setup is simple but it was more than enough. José is so kind and funny, he made me feel welcome my entire stay even though I do not speak much Spanish at all. I would return in a heartbeat. José is also a good cook and made us delicious Paella. The location is very quiet and peaceful, but with a bike it is very close to the metro to Valencia. I spent many afternoons reading and watching the chickens, ducks, and cats after a nice siesta: esto es vida!

My stay at the eco village was good. I imagined it differently from the photos, but overall it was great. I spend almost 3 weeks alone with jose. The communication was sometimes hard as i did not speak a word of spanish. Nevertheless we had good talks in English. The work was easy and the afternoons were free, perfect to spend some time in nature or biking around. Jose was caring and the food was delicious. I learned a lot for my future. The way of living gave me a different perspective, you dont need much stuff and with a simple bathroom you can survive as well haha. The oranges were fabulous

I came to fix engines but after that was done in less than two days I spent the rest of my time digging trenches and moving rocks. Jose is very sweet and makes us breakfast and lunch, sometimes making something special, and sometimes even making us dinner. It's rather hot this time of year (1-7th September) so but work starts earliest 8am (thought not like it mattered for me, I woke up quite late most days but Jose is very flexible with when you begin) so you would have to deal with the heat and sun. Rafelbunyol is quite interesting this time of year and he has workable bicycles you can use

It was magical for me! If someone wants to experience a genuine sustainable farm life, this is absolutely the one. I wanted a break from the digital, urban and fast paced life and experience the nature and simple joys. This stay has given everything I could ask for. I enjoyed the cool and fresh breezes, a night sky full of stars, the smell of earth and rain, the chirps of birds, a warm and cosy wooden cabin, simple-healthy and tasty food, some jazz and country music, chickens and ducks, friendly folks from Museros village, and the list goes on. Thank you Jose for the warmth and flexibility :)

I had a wonderful time in Museros. Jose is a very caring and kind person and really makes you feel at home. There is one room in the wooden hut. with two bunk beds where everyone sleeps (host and volunteer(s)) which was fine for me. I practiced my Spanish and we had some nice conversations (just know: if you talk about politics, you will be confronted with some conspiracy myths). The location was one of the best parts for me: the project is in the middle of orange fields, a nice calm place. By bike to the beach it's 40min, to Museros 15min where the metro goes to Valencia in 30min.

I stayed 3 weeks with José and it was an amazing experience. I went there for practicing Spanish and he really helped me with it, we had a lot of interesting conversations. It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have wished better. The location is also great I was really free and I had time to discover Valencia and also to learn surf for exemple. So again thank you Jose for being such a kind and open minded person, I will never forget how much things I have learned during those 3 weeks !

Staying at José's place has been a great experience! He's a charming individual with great knowledge about the world, and a lot of good stories. Furthermore, he is very helpful and patient to one learning Spanish, so my Spanish has vastly improved while being here. The work depends a lot on what tasks are at hand, but is generally very achievable. This is a less strict, but more intimate experience, as he only has 1-2 voluntaries at a time and all live together in the same house. Great opportunity if you actually want to learn Spanish and learn about Spanish culture. ¡Gracias Pepe!
