I felt at home with David and his Family! I loved to be there and I just felt sad when I had to leave. The work is really nice, and flexible and the team makes it enjoyable. Always there is a good vibe in the house with guests and volunteers, many barbeques, surf sessions, hikings, sunsets, etc. It is an experience to live and learn exchanging ideas with because people hears you I definitely will come back if I can, but in the meanwhile I will miss u all! Had a great time at the the surf the surf the surf camp! the other volunteers and staff were the best and i really enjoyed the chance to live so close to both the beach and the surf the surf the surf camp! the accommodation situation was a bit confusing at first as i ended up moving rooms a couple times to accommodate for when the hostel was fully booked but the rooms & bathrooms are all comfy and clean so it wasn't too bad. the shifts themselves were also very straightforward and your two days off were always back to back. thank you david and amanda for having me and making me feel so welcome!

I had such a nice time here!! Everyone was super welcoming from the start and the other volunteers made the experience even more fun :) The surf lessons were a highlight too, just be aware that depending on your shifts you might not make it to every lesson. Cascais is such a beautiful place to live in for a while and definitely worth exploring :)

The whole Family became very dear to me, and I always felt supported and listened to whenever i had any concerns. The work was easy and flexible, which I really appreciated. My time in Cascais was absolutely amazing! My friend and I stayed at David’s Guesthouse, which was wonderful. We had a private room, and David and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming, they made us feel at home from the very beginning.
During our stay we built beautiful friendships with the other volunteers, spent a lot of time surfing, and had many lovely evenings with barbecues and great people.
I’m very grateful for this unforgettable month, thank you so much!

This was my first volunteering experience and I stayed for a month. I arrived during the low season, so the beginning was a bit challenging because of the weather and fewer people around.
But soon, everything became much better. I met amazing people from all over the world and created special memories.
David is super chill and always spreading good vibes, and Drica is fun, kind and a sweetheart. I also loved doing asados with other volunteers using the outdoor barbecue, and taking a surf lesson with Manuel. Overall I'm really grateful for this experience and the people I met there. Obrigada❤️

I had a great time at the surf house, I got to meet people from all around the world, and getting to know surf life in Portugal was very fun! As content creator, my schedule would vary every day depending on the activities happening, it was really fun having to take part on everything they do with other travelers and guests. the atmosphere with the team during my stay was amazing. I have no words to David and all the staff members, I had the time of my life and I hope I can go back. The experience there was amazing, David and Drica were pretty good with everything, location was amazing (Lidl is 1min walk lol) and there was this banger pizza place nearby called Pizza +39.
