My time at the guest house was incredibly relaxed. It was low season so there was little work, although toshi could always find something for us to do. The quarters are used but good and you keep it clean together. You can use toshi's surfboards, tho the bikes are sadly out of order. A relaxed atmosphere, surfing, a nice group of volunteers and a relaxed and friendly boss, what more can you want?

My first experience and such a perfect one! Can't imagine something better and want to return many times!! Toshi is amazing person so as his wife! They are so debonair and hospitable, truly feel like in a family! Work itself was really easy and mostly about 30-60 minutes. Making beds, general cleaning and sometimes gardening. All the other volunteers created a very pleasant and warm atmosphere, what I didn't expect! Free time we spent on surfing, it was amazing! Even though not a high season. So I left this place with tears in my eyes, already miss everyone and so grateful for everything!

I had an amazing experience in Aoshima. Everyone is so nice and welcoming! The workload is light and there are different properties to clean which diversifies the work a lot. You will have a lot of free time to explore around, walk along the sea side and surf. Everything is in a walking distance, but for a bigger supermarket you would need to go to Miyazaki city. The helpers all stay together in a different property next to the guesthouse so you won't share the space with the guests. If you love a slow life with friendly people, join the team!
