Volunteering at the project was great! The location is so beautiful and it was lovely to learn more about permaculture and work with plants everyday. The volunteers and staff are so welcoming and helpful with anything you might need. The volunteer tasks are straightforward, fair and all working hours are exactly as agreed upon in the position description. It's such a peaceful place to volunteer and I had a lot of fun, I recommend!

The project was a great place to volunteer! The location is amazing with great views and lots of hikes and beautiful places to explore. Jorge was very lovely and helpful, as were the other volunteers who helped me greatly with my Spanish. It was great to spend a whole month practising (though it might be a bit challenging if you don't speak any Spanish since, during my time, Jorge and all the volunteers were native Spanish speakers). The tasks were pretty straightforward and easy, and were explained well by Jorge. I had a lovely time and would highly recommend.

I loved my experience at the project!! The volunteer housing was very nice and it was so much fun living with all of the volunteers and exploring El Bolson and Lago Puelo. Jorge and the other full-time staff were so accommodating and kind even though I don't speak very much Spanish!

The work was simple. I really enjoyed the staff, Gloria, Mati, Tato, & Celes. They were so kind, helpful & patient.
I left early due to many difficulties with the house. Jorge was gone on vacation, so that was challenging, as it was difficult to know if I should message Jorge or talk to staff on site about issues with the house.
It was very cold & the house was not equipped for the cold. The rooms had heaters, but they weren't sufficient. The fireplace in the living room was nice, but did not heat the house. Almost every day, there was a problem, either no water or no electricity, etc.

Jorge replied

Dear Laura! I’m sorry that your stay at our house coincided with a spell of extraordinarily cold days, which caused damage due to freezing in the water system. The whole Patagonia has suffered from it. To make matters worse, there were several power outages that affected the whole area. That’s why the house has a wood-burning stove and a wood-fired kitchen. Others have been left without heating entirely, and I happened to be away traveling. Fortunately, everything is now resolved.

Kylan's stay was short but enough to assess his good disposition toward both the tasks and getting along with the group. He is a calm person and always cheerful, highly recommended for his friendly and open character.

The overall experience was good, just are a few items to improve

José Luis breached what was agreed on the platform by changing his withdrawal date on two occasions; basically this attitude reduces opportunities for other volunteers.

I loved the experience at the project; it was beautiful to work with the plants, and to learn all the steps of the job. Gloria explains to the volunteers with a lot of patience and affection :) It's wonderful that only the volunteers live in the house; we were able to organize super well, just a group of guys with big hearts. I felt sad to have to leave (I left a few days early, but with a week's notice).
Jorge is really cool, and all the workers at the project. The truth is everything was beautiful, and thank you for the trust being the first volunteering by Worldpackers. Thank you!!!!!!!!
