The Experience

We are a nursery dedicated to floriculture (production of ornamental plants) located on a farm on the banks of the Río Azul, Lago Puelo. We need help with nursery tasks: thinning, transplanting, pruning, etc. We offer housing in a house located on the same farm, to be shared only among the volunteers. The house is 5 minutes from the river and 1 km from the road where the bus to Lago Puelo or El Bolsón passes.

Volunteering at the project was great! The location is so beautiful and it was lovely to learn more about permaculture and work with plants everyday. The volunteers and staff are so welcoming and helpful with anything you might need. The volunteer tasks are straightforward, fair and all working hours are exactly as agreed upon in the position description. It's such a peaceful place to volunteer and I had a lot of fun, I recommend!

The project was a great place to volunteer! The location is amazing with great views and lots of hikes and beautiful places to explore. Jorge was very lovely and helpful, as were the other volunteers who helped me greatly with my Spanish. It was great to spend a whole month practising (though it might be a bit challenging if you don't speak any Spanish since, during my time, Jorge and all the volunteers were native Spanish speakers). The tasks were pretty straightforward and easy, and were explained well by Jorge. I had a lovely time and would highly recommend.

I loved my experience at the project!! The volunteer housing was very nice and it was so much fun living with all of the volunteers and exploring El Bolson and Lago Puelo. Jorge and the other full-time staff were so accommodating and kind even though I don't speak very much Spanish!
