This experience was much more than working in exchange for lodging; it was about exchanges, companionship, and friendship! Dinho has a huge heart, he welcomed me very warmly, gave me freedom with the schedule, trust to carry out the activities (which are very calm), as well as cooking incredibly well! If you love authentic backpacker experiences, Dinho is the guy! 😄🤘 He simply took me on several insane trails, handed me the bike to explore Mucugê, served me several badass meals and still trusted me enough to leave the hostel in my care while I traveled, an absurd level of trust! And he also knows everything about the Chapada; you’ll gain a lot of important information from him. Here it’s not just volunteering, it’s real-life experience.
