I can only thank Sid and his family for the warm welcome at Soyl Mansion. Despite my short stay, the environment where the mansion is located allowed me to connect with nature in a unique way. My tasks included helping out in the kitchen, cleaning the rooms and the sauna before the sessions, and, in a very basic way, help them whenever they needed.
I truly felt like part of the family, and for this reason, I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the mountains, good company, and great food

The time at Soyl Mansion was good! Getting connected to nature.

I think the best thing about it was that the pace of life is really slow. In a good way. You get to wind down, have time to think about yourself, really enjoy the nature,.... It is great for self development.

But then again, if you cannot manage it, it might hard. So use it, take advantage of the time being slow and treat it positively and you should be fine!

Soyl was a memorable and healing volunteer stay. The location is secluded in the best way, with a place to buy small snacks nearby and a small town around a calm and serene 40 min stroll. The food is flavorful and tasty. Sidd and Vishakra were welcoming and we had some interesting discussions. I helped with misc. tasks like preparing wood, helping clean rooms, helping guests, doing meal prep and more. There is a varied amount of stuff to do which keeps it fresh. If you are looking for a natural WP in India, this is a place I definitely recommend and hope to return to again soon!

Volunteering in a small Himalayan village was an unforgettable experience. Sid and Shaka were incredibly welcoming and made it easy to feel at home from day one. We went for some hikes in the most beautiful nature, enjoyed very good food and the sauna was definitely a highlight. It was a great balance of helping out, learning new things, and enjoying the surroundings. I'm very grateful for the time I could spend there, 3 weeks felt like a few days. Overall, a meaningful and enriching experience I'd highly recommend.

Siddharth and Vishakha were my first hosts via Worldpackers and what can I even say about them! Right from the moment I arrived, they welcomed me with open arms. Siddharth has put conscious efforts to build Soyl Mansion in a sustainable manner, and it is evidently visible right when you arrive. We went on several hikes around the valley, cooked by the river side, tried several local delicacies and had amazing time in the sauna! As someone who's been travelling since last 8 years, I can say without hesitation that Siddharth and Vishakha have raised the bar of hosting to an unparalleled level

Soyl Mansion embraced me with warmth and openness, as Sid and Vishakha carry a calm, creative energy that draws you in to connect with the flow of life at Soyl. I spent my time in the kitchen with the wonderful Auntie, Ankush, Sunita, and Bhavna. What started as simple tasks turned into moments of spontaneous conversation, shared joy, and a lot of dancing while making out-of-this-world dishes from Auntie's magnifique recipes! I also had a chance to meet Uncle, who's kind and welcoming. Soyl isn't just a place, it's a feeling. l'm deeply grateful for the time I spent there. Until next timeee!

My experience at Soyl Mansion was an amazing experience with lots of exciting activities and philosophical talks. Siddhart and his partner are lovely people and great hosts. The mountain-village lifestyle has a calm and enchanting energy to it. Highly recommended.

The community was amazing! I truly felt part of a family and learned so much about mountain village life, where time seems to disappear (3 weeks felt like 2 days). This place is a refuge in the middle of the Himalayas, full of a peace & comfort atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever. Activities and working hours are varied, flexible, and without pressure, creating the perfect balance between contribution and personal growth. If you go there, I highly recommend trying the sauna and then jumping into the cold river right after, you'll feel truly alive! धन्यवाद और फिर मिलेंगे, सॉइल。

The hosts are good people, and this is not personal. However, the volunteering needs more structure. My duties and working hours were never clearly explained, creating constant pressure to perform perfectly. I often felt like an employee rather than a volunteer due to frequent negative comments. I expected cultural exchange and to feel part of the family, but instead felt like I was there to serve. The accommodation also differed from the photos and was poorly maintained. I planned to stay a month but cancelled after one week. Better communication and integration are needed.

Marco was staying in the same house with his hosts and was more interested in taking classes for his preply rather than helping us in anyway. He wanted to go somewhere else midway and abruptly informed for the same, it was not a good idea. Nevertheless, we don’t want to detail negative about your work not to impact your future positions god bless
