The job is very straightforward! Just be comfortable speaking in English to people learning who have varying levels of English ability. No lesson plans needed or formal classroom teaching required. The host is very friendly and kind! The homestay is in a wealthy neighborhood and safe area of Hanoi. I had an excellent experience here and stayed 1 week! The only downside is you can only do light cooking at the current facility.

I had a warm and welcoming first week in the coliving at Harry's the coliving, the work is very relaxed with lots of free time in a calm suburb of Hanoi with good public transport links into the city. Speaking with local students really helped introduce me to Vietnamese culture :)

Cuong (Harry) and the staff were amazingly welcoming and kept everything running smoothly. Working with such great teachers was a pleasure, and the students (despite being at different English levels) were friendly and eager to learn.

It was my first volunteer experience, and I had an amazing time! The homestay is easy to reach from the city center, about an hour by Grab bike or car. The place feels like home, and I met so many wonderful people. The owner is kind and welcoming, and the students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer experience in the coliving!

Loved my experience at the coliving❤️ I spend there only 5 days, but already felt like part of the family. I wish I could stay more. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. There's always some funny activities, so you'll be never bored. Teaching English was not hard. You just talk with students on different topics. And there is a support teacher. It is a good place to connect with people from all around the world and get to know Vietnamese culture. Thank you Harry and everyone for this short, but memorable experience🥹🫶

Volunteering at this school was one of the best parts of my time in the coliving. From day one, I felt truly welcomed by Harry and everyone at the school. The students were kind, curious, and excited to practice English, making every class enjoyable. The atmosphere was friendly and warm, and I had the chance to connect with local culture and meet amazing people. I’m very grateful for this experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful cultural exchange in the coliving!!!

My first experience with Worldpackers and the coliving is such a memorable one! I had two hours night classes for free-flowing conversation in English with Vietnamese students. Other hours of the day may be used as socials and trips with fellow volunteers, just remember to be back by 7 PM. Host is responsive on WhatsApp and the homestay has sufficient facilities for your needs, including cooking and laundry + market is 10-minute walk away. Easy to roam around Hanoi using Grab, although quite pricey if you go back-and-forth at Old Quarters. Def I would volunteer again when in Hanoi.

Volunteering at the coliving was a dream come true! Being able to connect with locals and the culture was such a major highlight. The time I spent teaching is one I'll cherish for a very long time. I felt welcomed and appreciated every step of the way. I recommend the coliving for any first-time travelers interested in the coliving! I'd love to volunteer again!

This is one of those times when you want to say so many incredible things about a place and its people, but there aren't enough words to express it. Staying at the coliving has been one of my best experiences. The staff is amazing; you can count on them for anything, and they're incredibly supportive. The students are eager to learn and very enthusiastic. I learned so much about Vietnamese culture, which is fantastic. I highly recommend volunteering with them. I hope to see everyone again soon when I return to the coliving.
