Before arriving at the home I was pretty nervous and didn't know what to expect, but during my stay I had such an amazing experience! I would say my highlights would probably be how friendly and accommodating Putra is, and also the kids at the school who are such angels. If you are concerned about your experience level going into this position; I would say the only important thing is that you are enthusiastic, like children, and understand very very basic level English! The location is also very remote which is refreshing! but something I would be mindful of if you don't have a scooter :)

We had such a wonderful experience with Putra! He is a kind and helpful host, his english is great and communication was always easy. His family is lovely, and his house is beautiful, spacious, clean and surrounded by nature. The food was amazing!, and we really enjoyed working at the school. Putra was always around to help us if we needed anything. We'd recommend staying for more than a week to explore the area and possibly experience different schools. A great choice for first-time volunteers, as everything is very well organized and Putra is very involved. We'd love to come back one day! ❤️

Staying at Putra made our time in Indonesia truly special and gave us a place that will always have little piece of our hearts. From Putra himself and as a host, delicious food, great organization, comfortable accommodation, activities, and especially the school and children, every part of the experience was meaningful and memorable.
Even though we stayed only for one week, we already wished we could stay longer, and we would love to come back one day and continue this experience. I truly recommend Putra’s program to anyone looking for warm, authentic and meaningful volunteering experience❤️❤️

Putra was absolutely an amazing host! We split the days beweetn teaching English at local schools and gardening.
Being with the students, speaking to them and learning more about their culture while they get to practice English is a very unique and fulfilling experience.

Putra is an amazing host with his heart in the right place. Each week a different school. The children are a joy to teach, they love to learn and love to participate and with support even the shy kids want to participate. The time spent volunteering was meaningful because of the impact on the lives of the children. The volunteering happens in the morning so in the afternoons, you get time to explore the area. Putra is very helpful in organising anything you may need, driver, laundry, tips, etc. Plus I learned so much about Balinese culture. I recommend!
