I got to experience London in a very special way, and really enjoy the company of Marit, Mark, Gabe, Sarah and built a great relationship with the owner AJAY. I wouldn’t trade a moment of it ❤️

Hi, I had volunteered with the hostel for almost a month and I enjoyed my stay there.Its a fun chill place where you can meet super fun people and make many friends. Talking about the work,it can feel a bit daunting for the first couple of days till you get the hang of it but the work sometimes do get shot past the work times by a bit .Just a point which I felt could be better handled was a clear listing of the actual work in each shifts,as I felt sometimes each person had their own version.Overall I had loads of fun and will return for sure and I do miss the games and pub crawls.

My experience as a volunteer at the hostel was absolutely wonderful! Marit, Mark and Love were always so kind, helpful and welcoming. The work was easy and exactly as agreed, and the hostel is a great place to stay, with good rooms, a nice kitchen and clean bathrooms. I also made so many friends there, and it quickly became my home away from home. I'm so grateful for this experience and for all the amazing moments I had there. I love the hostel and I really hope to come back one day! It was truly an amazing experience, and I'll always remember this place with so much love!🥹❤️

I had an amazing time at London Backpacker! The staff, volunteers and guest are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it easy to feel at home. The work is straightforward, and the shifts aren’t full days, so you have plenty of time to explore London on your days off. The easy access to central London is a huge bonus, and the social nights are fantastic way to meet new people. If you’re hardworking, sociable, and want to experience the real London while making great connections, this is the perfect place to volunteer. Really recommend volunteering here and for sure would come back.

I can say nothing but the BEST things about the hostel! The people I met definitely made it super special- from the volunteers down to the guests! We explored London together and had many great nights out. The work you had to do at the hostel was manageable and you're able to have the rest of the day to yourself! If you're thinking about volunteering in London, think no more! AJ was a great manager and so was Marit! Apply here and you won't regret it xx

My experience at the hostel was amazing. I got the chance of meeting people from all over the world who were staying at the hostel, we had family dinners and nights out with the guests 4 times a week wich was one of my favorite parts of the experience.It is important to be a hardworking person because there is a lot to do, but is easy to learn. The staff room isn't the best, but the common areas of the hostel are nice and cozy so that was fine for me. So if you do your job well and have a positive attitude you will have an incredible experience and you will enjoy it as much as i did!

I had a wonderful experience in the hostel. It's 2 minutes walk from the Hendon Central Station, with a lot of supermarkets and restaurants close to the hostel. They usually go out with the guests and make dinner which helps you to make friends. The tasks can be hard in the first three days if you are not used to, but after that you get used and everything is fine. The hours of the shifts are very good, because sometimes if you had the early morning shift or the evening shift, you still have plenty of time to explore the city. I recommend this experience and can't wait to go back!

Loved the spot. Ajay, Marit and Nelly ( the more permanent workers) made me feel welcomed and appreciated. The rest of the volunteers were awesome and did the same. Definitely gave me some good experience in helping to rally people together too, one of the nights we took 24 people out in total on the tube. All I can really say to sum it up is that I would definitely come back. So yeah , awesome place with awesome people!!

It was a very good experience The team is wonderful, meeting amazing people, and the schedules are varied; sometimes you work very early in the morning, then in the afternoon, and other times at night.
