We are the Algarve Surf Hostel & Camp and seeking a creative worker to help with building outdoor furniture, painting, general maintenance, garden maintenance and ocasionally driver. This unique volunteer position offers 4 to 10 weeks of work at the camp. While you'll be guided by the manager, there’s plenty of room for creativity and input on designing stylish decorations within budget. This role is ideal for someone is happy, social and experienced in DIY, construction, carpentry, or electronics. We have a list of projects to enhance the camp and are excited to welcome someone with enthusiasm and DIY expertise to bring them to life!
There are 4 volunteers handling daily hostel tasks like breakfast and check-ins. Your role will be separate, with flexible hours as long as you complete 24 hours a week—whether it’s 6 hours over 4 days or spread out differently. We also host evening activities for guests and staff, and it’s always appreciated to have an extra set of cheerful hands to help with driving, guiding guests, or tidying up.
