It was below what I expected. The location and breakfast are good, but they need someone more prepared to deal with volunteers. The cleaning work was accumulated and there was a lot to do. The lady responsible for the volunteers had difficulty communicating well and was often nervous and impatient. She constantly asked us to do tasks that, according to her, no one had ever done before. The place needs more care. And needs to encourage volunteers more to keep the kitchen clean and organized. Cause it was dirty and missing some basic utensils. The infrastructure also needs improvement.

The experience at the hostel was really beautiful. From the first moment I felt comfortable and well received. The tasks and schedules were always clear and respected. Cami was always available, with the best attitude, not only attentive to everything related to volunteering, but also to recommending places and activities to make the most of the experience. I have very nice memories of this place. Without a doubt, I recommend it and I would return without thinking twice.

My experience here has been very good! Communication has been easy and fast, and the tasks are very varied, which is appreciated to avoid getting into a routine. There has also been flexibility and willingness on the part of Cami and Nico, who were always available to resolve things! Overall we’ve had a very good experience in the loft and we’ve also been able to enjoy the center of Paraty! Highly recommended:)

This volunteering experience has been amazing! The hosts were very friendly, the accommodation was incredible and the surroundings too! I came with my partner and we worked the agreed hours. The tasks were varied, which made it much easier to handle: painting, gardening, cleaning, etc. Cami has been very flexible and this has allowed us to also enjoy Paraty and nearby areas. It is very close to the beach and next to a bus stop (free) that takes you to the historic center. Without a doubt, I recommend this volunteering and spending a few days at the hostel!!!
