Program Details

Join us in the heart of nature and live a unique experience cultivating Chuncho cacao, an ancestral variety recognized as one of the finest cacaos in the world. Here you can immerse yourself in the entire production process, from harvest to processing of the cacao, while working in harmony with the environment.
We offer a space to learn about agroecology, strengthen your knowledge about sustainable living, and become part of a project that promotes respect for the land and its fruits.
Additionally, at Fundo Estrella we also cultivate coffee and various fruits organically, caring for the forest and promoting sustainable practices. 🌿
The main harvest season of Chuncho cacao takes place during February, March and April. In this period, volunteers will mainly participate in the harvest and in the post-harvest processes of the cacao.
During the rest of the year, we work with other varieties of cacao, and the activities include pruning, fertilization, planting, and general maintenance of the farm.
