Attracted by the incredible surroundings it is a piece of paradise around here but I got disappointed by how little that experience immerse you in the local culture. In my opinion this is one of the main goals of volunteering abroad. You live in your own place, outside of lunch (that you cook) and occasional trips there is no much time spent with Generosa and Jon Anders. Note that if you come during holidays you may be asked to look after the kids (should be added to the missions) Still a great experience, amazing surroundings, meeting other travellers, learning interesting things about trees

Nice experience overall:) the family is nice and welcoming, so thank you!! it's a perfect experience to connect with nature, otherwise the connections with the outside world are not existent although sometimes the family is willing to bring you somewhere:) The work is easy and varies often and the hours of work are respected. It was interesting to get some insights about the world of apples and their products. The accommodation as well is comfty. If I would recommend something to improve that would be maybe the organisation of the grocery list.

The time spent at the farm was worth the 24+ hours of travel to get there! I recommend this experience to all people who crave some time away from busy lives and want to be immersed in nature. The entire family is easygoing and approachable, and gave us a lot of tips on places to visit. The location is amazing, with fjords, hills and lakes! Important notes: There is no form of transport except the school bus, so if you want to go around either need to ask for lifts or walk. You need to organise a good food list, otherwise it might get tricky with groceries. A GREAT first experience!

This was a great experience, both as a traveller and humanely. Generosa and Jon Anders truly are great people, always ready to help you out and very welcoming. The work hours are respected and the work itself is not very had but fun. It varies depending on what needs to be done and the season (which is normal in a farm). Outside of work, the hikes and landscapes all around are really amazing. Sure the town is far but you can da lot of things there and you won't get bored if you like being in the nature. Besides, Generosa really included us in their family, taking us to events with them.

This was my second voulenteering and I couldn't have imagined it any better🫶 From day one, you are perfectly welcomed into the family and become part of it. Every working day, meal or excursion together was incredibly fun. But not only the people on the farm are incredible, but also the surroundings. The farm is surrounded by beautiful hiking spots amd the sea. Not only once did we go on an adventure.😊 Thank you so much for this wonderful time, the experiences will always remain in my memories.🫶

I had an amazing time! They have such an amazing family, and staying with other international travelers was super fun. The work is very straightforward and we get a description of what we have to do at the beginning of each day. Vary varied so you never get bored. Activities during non-work hours depend on you but hiking, fishing, and mushroom picking were some of my favorites. The scenic views are to die for. I highly recommend this experience.

If you love nature this is the right place for you! From the very first moment I felt super welcomed. The entire family is super nice you will definitely never feel lonely. Aside from that the area is also stunning. A lot of places where you can hike to with great views, lots of opportunities to go fishing or swimming and so on. The work was also interessting because we did so many different things most of the time. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone! Takk!

Fuglenstein fruktgart is a wonderful orchard surrounded by nature. The landscapes are uncontaminated and the extra-work activities are endless. The members of the Fuglestein family will make you feel welcomed and part of their everyday life. They will listen to your requests and help you enjoytyour stay. A Norway lived starting from its roots working the land and picking its fruits. I recommend it to anyone who is ready to live an experience that will change your life! Takk Generosa and John, you are kind and thoughtful. We will miss you. Wishing you the best... Vi elsker epple most!!🍎

Our experience here is something we will never forget. Generosa, Jon and all the family is the most welcoming people I've ever seen. Working here is very interesting and never boring, almost every day we did something different and learnt many jobs in the farm. If you love fishing, trekking, foraging and outdoor activities in general you have to come here, you will never get tired of the farm and its surroundings. If you are looking for a lot of interactions with locals, they are not too many, but people here is super welcoming and the majority of them are happy to chat with you. Good luck!!
