We could not have been happier with our stay at Fuglestein!! Jon Anders and Generosa are some of the kindest, and most welcoming people we have ever met. This was our first experience volunteering on World Packers and we would change nothing about it. The whole family creates an atmosphere of joy and love. The surrounding nature is absolutely stunning, hiking, fishing, and going on drives with the family really showed us the beauty of Norway. Fuglestein will always hold a special place in our hearts, we will be back. We love you all!

It was a lovely experience to stay here. The whole family – including the grandparents and Jon Anders' brother– is kind and very open-minded and will help you with whatever you need. The workload was quite light, in the beginning the tasks were a bit repetitive but later on that changed to a lot more variety. The nature around the farm is breathtaking. However it's better to bring a car or stay with at least one other volunteer who has a car because otherwise you're very inflexible and it can get a bit lonely. I met a fellow traveler, which was nice. Thanks for the great experience 😊

My stay at Fuglestein Fruktgard was a very lovely experience. Generosa and Jon Anders are both very kind and friendly people. They always take care of your wellbeing, may it be offering little trips or invite you for a barbeque. Sometimes a working day can be very simple and mundane, but thats just the nature of working at a farm. Other days were very different and fun. If you dont have a car, it is a bit isolated, since you cant really go anywhere by foot. Either way, I really enjoyed the beautiful nature their place has to offer. Im forever grateful for their hospitality :)

We had here a wonderful time :) The working hours were well regulated & relaxed – we worked during the week, weekends were off. Since we were there in winter, the task was mostly labeling bottles. The host family was very welcoming. We went grocery shopping together and could choose our own food. We stayed in a separate house, which was great, but the farm is quite remote. I would recommend going with a friend/ by car/ when other volunteers are there. The landscape is beautiful & perfect for hiking & in summer also for swimming. Overall, a great place for a work experience close to nature.

I had a very good time at the farm. I learned a lot and was able to work on many different tasks, which made it not feel boring. The family is super nice, welcoming and easy to talk to. Not to forget the nature is amazing. I would recommend this job!
But keep in mind that besides beautiful hikes nearby, there is not much to do in free time. You will live separate from the host and it could definitely get boring if you can't keep yourself busy or have good company. I was lucky, because one of the other volunteers had a car so we could see quite a lot from the area. Thank you fugelstein:))
