The experience

We are a local family business located in the Camino de Santiago, in León. Very experienced receiving people from all around the world and sharing their stories and adventures. We would love to host a responsible person who want to help around the hostel with the cleaning, hosting pilgrims, help with the beer garden and serving meals. We have plenty of nature surrounding us and we love animals here. We are looking forward hear from you :)


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.


Requirements

Intermediate Spanish or Intermediate English

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

La tarea principal en el albergue es limpiar y preparar para las tareas diarias. También ayudar a los peregrinos y en la cena.


Activities & Shift

El trabajo consiste en trabajar en turnos. Por la mañana limpiando y preparando el albergue, y el resto del día recibiendo a los peregrinos, ayudando en el bar y en la cocina para la preparación de la cena comunitaria.
Las horas son aproximadas ya que depende de la afluencia de peregrinos. De todos modos la carga de trabajo es baja.
