I was with Theresa and Tom and the horses for a month. It was my first trip alone and I felt so comfortable every day of my stay. I met a lot of people from all over the world. The horses are special but really stunning.

The hosts are great at matching tasks to your strengths, whether that means heavy physical labor or detail-oriented, precise projects.
While you will be around the horses, you won't be riding them. These are high-energy racehorses that require experienced professional riders.
Volunteers stay together in separate cabins rather than with the hosts in the main house. There can be quite a few volunteers at once and you are responsible for keeping your cabin clean and cooking your own meals.

I stayed with Tom and Theresa for 3 weeks, but honestly I would have loved to stay longer and I am already looking forward to coming back. They where great hosts and it was an amazing experience. I can recommend it to everybody who love horses and spending time outside. I really enjoyed working with the horses and training them, especially the riding on the beach. They are really great and I totally fell in love with them, but they are not for total beginners. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous and I am very grateful that I was able to explore some other parts of Ireland as well.

I had the best time volunteering with Tom and Theresa! I loved learning about the Irish racing industry, the training regime for racehorses, and getting to work with these beautiful horses. There are lots of opportunities to ride, almost daily, but it's worth keeping in mind that these horses are not for beginners! Tom and Theresa were incredibly accommodating and kind and went above and beyond to immerse us in Irish culture, while also being so flexible with my travel plans whilst I was there. I'm already looking forward to coming back! I highly recommend volunteering here!

I spent six weeks at the ranch, it was incredible! I received a super welcome; Tom and Theresa are very welcoming. They were always there for us whenever we had a problem! I loved working with the horses with Tom; it's always a pleasure to work with someone so passionate, and Tom is passionate! I enjoyed it so much that I'm now looking for a trainer in France. We were very well accommodated with the other volunteers, no complaints whatsoever. I absolutely want to go back! The horses are amazing, maybe not for beginners, but amazing! It’s a superb experience, I recommend 1000 times !

I stayed with Theresa and Tom for over 2 months, and it was the time of my life. I learned so much about Irish racing culture. Every day, we fed the horses and mucked out the stables, trained the horses on the beach or at the racetrack. The horses are wonderful, but you need to be very experienced if you want to handle or ride them. So, if you're a horse lover, this is definitely the perfect place for you. I loved the cabin and the quiet surroundings of the stable. We cooked our own meals and ate together with the other volunteers, which created a great sense of community. Thanks for all :)

Such unique experience this one is. You are surrounded by the Irish nature and beautiful horses. Some cows from time to time. The work is manageable and communication with Tom and Theresa was very productive and appreciated. They are such a lovely family and they share with you so much that you can learn through different projects as well as with the horses.
The horses go to races and to help with their training only very well experienced riders can ride them, however you can still help in their care when needed. Tom, Theresa… thank you so much for everything.🫶🏼

My stay at the farm was wonderful. I really enjoyed my time and met some very nice people here. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and especially after a while I felt like I was at home there. The work was fun and appropriate and I always knew that I could talk to the hosts honestly. Seeing the horses was the highlight of each day and I even got to go to races with them. I would definitely recommend volunteers this place :).

This was my first Worldpackers experience and overall I had a really great time! The location is absolutely beautiful, and I met a lot of really nice people during my stay. We did a lot of different training with the horses, which was a great learning experience. The horses are definitely not beginner horses though, so I would only recommend this experience to experienced riders :)
