The Experience

Connect with nature through art, sensory experiences, and community. A peaceful space to slow down, create, and return to life's simple roots. You're free to create your own routine, but presence and commitment to yourself and the park are valued. There's one private compost toilet and a shower (no hot water). No Wi-Fi, but phone signal allows basic connection - cafés nearby offer full access. Life here is basic, peaceful, and beautiful.

Ivan and is parcthe lodge both are wonderful. It is truly a unique place in a city consumed by overturism. Ivan and his friends have so much to share and are really looking for the volunteers to feel good. You truly make a personal impact on a great project by coming here, i would definitely recommend! But bring strong mosquitoes reppelent and some long sleeves clothes!

I was at first welcomed tothe lodge with welcome arms. It was a bit of a difficult transition at first given that it was the middle of a heat wave and obviously the accommodation had no air conditioning, but Ivan was understanding. Work was simple but satisfying, but was not structured or communicated particularly clearly. As time went on, Ivan expressed some disappointment in my work but I strived to do better and help out wherever I could as much as I could. A week into my stay, Ivan suddenly closed the lodgeto all volunteers, and I had to find last-minute housing for a week.

We spent two weeks in April with Iván. There's no fixed schedule—here, it's all about going with the flow. The tasks are varied (gardening, cleaning, small projects) and everything is fully ecological, including the cabin, shower, and toilet. Iván is kind, hardworking, speaks several languages, and cooks soups and lots of pizza. It's a great place to connect withthe lodge and leave your mark—not for those just looking to be tourists. Iván lends bikes to get around. Bring strong mosquito repellent!
