We had a wonderful time at Cascada Verde! Julie and Stephan were very welcoming and friendly, and the hostel is in such a beautiful location. The work was explained clearly and not too demanding. The cats are a big bonus!!! The beaches are definitely more easily accessible if you have a car, but the nearby waterfalls are very easy to get to and gorgeous. If you're looking to spend a month in nature, it's a great place for it. Will definitely be returning!!

Your hosts, Julie and Stephan, and the entire team at the hostel are amazing people who will welcome you with open arms. The work hours/tasks are more than fair with 5 days on 4 hours, and 2 consecutive days off. A full (really good) local breakfast is provided daily. The hostel is nestled in the rainforest with many waterfalls and animals to enjoy. A quick walk to Uvita centro and you can find everything that you need. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to connect with nature and people. A true example of what a WP exchange should be! Pura Vida 💚

My stay at the hostel was great — the place is absolutely stunning, from the moment you walk in you can see and hear nature around you. Tasks can vary depending on what is needed (especially in low season). The staff is incredibly friendly, and fellow volunteers truly make this place feel like home. My experience was fantastic, a place in the middle of the jungle where you can see all kinds of animals and disconnect; the breakfast and the laundry service were very good. Julie and her staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. It’s a bit far from the center and the beach, but not impossible; if you don’t mind walking or you have the budget to move around by Uber, it’s your place. I took the opportunity to explore on foot and I don’t regret it; I could visit the different shops and places to eat that had been recommended to me. Happy with the experience! Thank you very much!✨

One thing to note is that the women's room is in an attic where you can't stand up; it can be a bit uncomfortable and there's no space to store clothes. After that, everything's fine! Thanks to the hostel

My experience at the hostel was beautiful! The people there welcomed me in a very warm way. Julie was very attentive to ensure I felt comfortable, and it really was so! I appreciate her kindness and willingness! The tasks were simple and, above all, clear. She sends you a checklist where everything you must do appears with its corresponding schedule. The hostel is located in the middle of the jungle and near the Uvita River, which makes you immerse yourself in an environment of great peace and tranquility. At the hostel I met very nice people with whom I shared moments that I will always remember :)
