Hostel Cascada Verde
Always wanted to work at a hostel? Please join our team! We are no typical party backpacker but run a beautiful treehouse style hostel, 5 minutes walk from Uvita's waterfall, surrounded by lush tropical nature, often with monkeys and toucans visiting in our garden.
We have a great team with wonderful staff members from the area, great source to learn how to cook the Costa Rican way, get knowledge about tropical plants and animals.
We - your hosts - are a family from Berlin, Germany. We live here since 2010. And we are looking forward to meet all of YOU!

My experience was fantastic, a place in the middle of the jungle where you can see all kinds of animals and disconnect; the breakfast and the laundry service were very good. Julie and her staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. It’s a bit far from the center and the beach, but not impossible; if you don’t mind walking or you have the budget to move around by Uber, it’s your place. I took the opportunity to explore on foot and I don’t regret it; I could visit the different shops and places to eat that had been recommended to me. Happy with the experience! Thank you very much!✨

We had a wonderful time at Cascada Verde! Julie and Stephan were very welcoming and friendly, and the hostel is in such a beautiful location. The work was explained clearly and not too demanding. The cats are a big bonus!!! The beaches are definitely more easily accessible if you have a car, but the nearby waterfalls are very easy to get to and gorgeous. If you're looking to spend a month in nature, it's a great place for it. Will definitely be returning!!

Had an amazing experience volunteering at the hostel. Beautiful jungle atmosphere, great team, and the perfect place to connect with travelers from all over the world. Really appreciated the relaxed vibe and the chance to contribute in different areas of the hostel. Definitely a special place in Costa Rica 🌿

The place is very beautiful, surrounded by vegetation.
Ideal for relaxing. Julie and Stefan are very nice people.
One thing to note is that the women's room is in an attic where you can't stand up; it can be a bit uncomfortable and there's no space to store clothes. After that, everything's fine! Thanks to the hostel

Your hosts, Julie and Stephan, and the entire team at the hostel are amazing people who will welcome you with open arms. The work hours/tasks are more than fair with 5 days on 4 hours, and 2 consecutive days off. A full (really good) local breakfast is provided daily. The hostel is nestled in the rainforest with many waterfalls and animals to enjoy. A quick walk to Uvita centro and you can find everything that you need. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to connect with nature and people. A true example of what a WP exchange should be! Pura Vida 💚
