One of the best experiences of my life, in a breathtaking place. The nature is stunning and the people are incredibly kind. María is an amazing host. Even though my Spanish wasn’t the best, she always made an effort to understand me, communicate, and make me feel seen and supported. I would recommend this experience to anyone who has a kind heart and wants to meet someone with a pure soul and immense generosity. María is also incredibly flexible, she makes sure you have time to explore her beloved Punta Arenas before asking for your help. Her generosity is endless! Gracias!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share so many beautiful and unforgettable moments.
Your radiant smile captivated everyone who met you. Simply a girl out of the ordinary.
We want you to come back.
Your Chilean family will always be waiting for you.

My volunteer experience in Punta Arenas was much more than an opportunity to travel; it became one of those chapters in life that you know you will carry in your heart long after you've finished.

From the beginning, I felt welcomed, supported, and at home. I am deeply grateful for the people I met, the moments we shared, and the kindness with which I was received. Sometimes travel takes you to places you never imagined you would fall in love with, and Punta Arenas was, without a doubt, one of them.

I carry with me breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable sunsets.

Maria and the hostel welcomed me very well, I felt part of the family during the time I stayed, always very respectful.
I completed my hours and had my days off on schedule; I could choose to have consecutive days off or breaks spread through the week.
I had a very good cultural immersion, I tasted typical foods and drinks of the region, they also showed me music and dances; it was my first volunteering experience and also the first time outside Brazil, I went without speaking any Spanish and yet they treated me well and taught me many things, I highly recommend.

It was nice to return to Punta Arenas and live this experience as a volunteer; the conversations I had with Mary always had something good to contribute to my life, and sharing with her family that they made me feel part of them. The other volunteers were all special to me, thank you for everything.

I have no words to express the good experience I had working at the hostel; those were days of good learning where I could mingle with locals, get to know fantastic places, and above all practice the language. Thank you.

Our experience at Karol Hostel was spectacular. Mari is a person with a huge heart, generous and funny. Since we arrived she welcomed us with the best, it's like staying at your grandmother's house. The breakfast is great. Mari's family is a charm, especially the children who are fantastic. Mari is a hardworking and elegant woman; we admire her for everything she does and has built. Always willing to guide you, recommend places and accommodate your days off according to your convenience. Every moment we keep in our hearts. No doubt our best experience!!!

Staying at the hostel as a volunteer is like feeling at home, from the first day you arrive Marita greets you with open arms, supports you in what you need, gives you advice and makes you part of her family, the hostel is in a central area of the city which makes it a good place to explore it. I fully recommend volunteering with her as she introduces you to the local culture and if your objective is to meet incredible people, here is your place. But with the condition that you put in your part, the tasks are simple but you must be respectful, honest and punctual

There is a phrase that says that shortcuts are where you find the best landscapes, and that was exactly what happened to me when I met Marita and her family. We hadn't planned to stay in Punta Arenas, but it was the best decision we could have made. Having the pleasure of talking with guests from all over the world, living each day as something unique and different, and having the privilege of being part of Marita and her family's routine are things that are priceless. Thank you very much, Marita, for opening the doors to your home and for allowing us to create so many beautiful and fun memories to tell!

You are a precious human being, full of kindness and infinite nobility. I pray to God that you come back and then we can close cycles; for now we are with a flood of affection for you all. Do not forget us Angélica Daniel.
