I couldn't be happier with my experience! The place is beautiful, right in the middle of the jungle, so you really get to enjoy nature! The working hours are respected, and the benefits are really good, which makes the whole experience even better. Be ready for bugs! 😂 Being in the middle of the jungle means you'll see all kinds of little creatures, but that's part of the adventure! Everyone working at the hostel is super nice and welcoming, and they're always there to help you with anything you need. I felt really comfortable during my stay. Thank you so, so much for everything!

A truly great place to volunteer. From day one, Kendal, the manager, made me feel welcome and helped me settle in and explore the island. The local staff never treated me like just a volunteer—they made me feel part of the family. the hostel is a family-run hostel with a genuine social mission and a strong sense of community. It's also a lively party hostel that attracts people from all walks of life. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the right place, but if you enjoy community and meeting interesting people, you'll love it.

Overall my time at the hostel was enjoyable, I loved the staff and the work was more than reasonable. Cris was a very good manager and I have a lot of respect for him, anytime I asked for something we needed he provided it almost immediately. The hours are very fair and the work is easy.

The month I spent here was chaotically beautiful. The staff and other volunteers were super friendly and made it super easy to get acquainted with the tasks at the bar. The only shift that ever felt slightly stressful was on Wednesdays, but it's also a fun party so you come around to liking the longer shift. You'll zip around the island on a motorcycle. You'll swim with views of the volcanos. And you'll encounter all types of animals (monkeys, birds, scorpions, etc.) It really is a one of a kind experience.

The work was well organized, and the manager, Cristopher, is a wonderful person, very attentive and supportive with the volunteers.
The issue concerns the volunteer house. Improvements are already planned, but there are still many difficulties, especially the refrigerator, which is almost unusable because it is occupied by the dog’s food, causing problems with space, smell, and cleanliness. Since volunteers are only provided with one meal per day and must buy or cook the others themselves, having an adequate space to store food is essential, especially for those traveling on a limited budget.

The hostel is great place to meet new people, and the staff there is always nice and helpful. Situation with the food provided was not great, but I think they are currently working on making it better. They offer ”full time” and part time, but the fultime is basicly not possible because there just isn't enough work, and the benefits are not different enough from the part time one:) The living conditions are also veery different than you would expect based on the rest of the hostel, but I really didn't mind Over all the hostel is a great plave and I would defenitely recommend <33

I had a great time at the hostel! The owners, staff and other volunteers made me feel at home from the start. I played at the Wed Wednesday parties every week and they were awesome. I also helped out with creating content for social media and they gave me a lot of creative freedom to do that. All in all it was a great experience.

The hostel was my first volunteer experience, and it will probably ruin my standards from now on - because this is the best place ever. The owners (Charlie and Styx), and the manager (Chris), always makes sure to check up on you and if I needed anything I knew I could talk to them. The work here is perfectly balanced between socialising with the guests in fun activities and helping out in the bar. The local staff will always help you practice your Spanish skills and will always greet you with a smile. The accommodation is fine! Thank you for the most amazing month❤️

The hostel was my first volunteering and i knew from the first day that i would extend. I spent 5 unforgettable weeks in Ometepe and met the local team which i'm really sad to leave. The island is a little paradise where you can drive around with a scooter, watch sunset over the volcanos and use paddle boards at playa mango, party for Wet Wednesday and in hostels around where you'll meet other volunteers, enjoy fireshows and plenty of workshops, make friends who live on the island. I truly loved working at the bar, taking pictures and be a part of the school project with the kids. Love y'all 🐲
