The Experience

We are looking for a live in DJ to help us out with the weekly WET WEDNESDAY parties that we throw here. It would involve organising the other DJs and looking after the equipment - plus anything else you can bring to the table. All our volunteers help out at the bar and the entry on the party nights.

I couldn't be happier with my experience! The place is beautiful, right in the middle of the jungle, so you really get to enjoy nature! The working hours are respected, and the benefits are really good, which makes the whole experience even better. Be ready for bugs! 😂 Being in the middle of the jungle means you'll see all kinds of little creatures, but that's part of the adventure! Everyone working at the hostel is super nice and welcoming, and they're always there to help you with anything you need. I felt really comfortable during my stay. Thank you so, so much for everything!

A truly great place to volunteer. From day one, Kendal, the manager, made me feel welcome and helped me settle in and explore the island. The local staff never treated me like just a volunteer—they made me feel part of the family. the hostel is a family-run hostel with a genuine social mission and a strong sense of community. It's also a lively party hostel that attracts people from all walks of life. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the right place, but if you enjoy community and meeting interesting people, you'll love it.

Overall my time at the hostel was enjoyable, I loved the staff and the work was more than reasonable. Cris was a very good manager and I have a lot of respect for him, anytime I asked for something we needed he provided it almost immediately. The hours are very fair and the work is easy.

The month I spent here was chaotically beautiful. The staff and other volunteers were super friendly and made it super easy to get acquainted with the tasks at the bar. The only shift that ever felt slightly stressful was on Wednesdays, but it's also a fun party so you come around to liking the longer shift. You'll zip around the island on a motorcycle. You'll swim with views of the volcanos. And you'll encounter all types of animals (monkeys, birds, scorpions, etc.) It really is a one of a kind experience.
