The experience

Bilbao Akelarre Hostel is a hostel started by two super backpacker friends! We decided to leave journalism to be able to host backpackers from all over the world. It was, in fact, Bilbao's first hostel back in 2009! Times have changed and we work remotely, handling reservations and guest care so that guests feel super at ease! That's why we need someone at the reception to greet backpackers and send codes!

Program Details

We are looking for a person who wants to be at reception to assist guests with whatever they need, especially sending codes to the backpackers. In summer, we prioritize volunteers who want to stay for at least three months.

Activities & Shift

Shifts are five days a week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (approximately, since we are flexible).
They can be Monday to Friday or Wednesday to Sunday or other days but consecutive.
Since we only have one kitchen with two microwaves and refrigerators, we provide an amount of money so the volunteer can spend it on buying food!
We do not have rooms just for volunteers.
It is a shared room with other backpackers!

Rules

We are pet-friendly and we do not accept anyone with homophobic or racist attitudes.
