The Experience

We are Small family farm. We have found this place a three years ago, so its really beginning of our way. You can plant some trees, take care about vegetable outside and in the glasshouse. Or you can build some small project with us. In winter time some forestry work in the woods. We have cats, rabbits and huns on our farm.

We had a lovely experience overall. The location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and nature, and perfect if you enjoy peace, hiking and being away from everything. Alexandra was kind and her food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed talking to Jiri, who was incredibly respectful and welcoming.

We did spend quite a lot of time working independently, so it sometimes felt more like a job than a volunteering experience. A few details about days off and meals also differed from what we had expected.

Still, we really enjoyed the surroundings, the atmosphere and the super kind hosts!

I had a great experience. Alexandra and Jiri were good hosts. I really enjoyed being surrounded by nature and having some time to myself.

The work is mostly independent and can be physically demanding at times, but they are flexible, respectful, and understanding.

One thing to keep in mind is that the place is in the middle of nowhere, which may not be for everyone. Personally, it helped me reconnect with nature and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the noise of the city.

Jiri and Alexandria are very sweet people who welcomed us into their home for 2 weeks, and it was a pleasure to stay with them. Working hours were established very early and respected along with meals. I would recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys their independent time.

Alexandra and Jiří are lovely people. The work was exactly as agreed, and hours could be flexible if you wanted more one day and less another.

Alexandra bought us ingredients for breakfast and dinner and cooked us lunch. Depending on how busy the family was,
the meal would either be brought to us or we'd eat with them.

I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for a more independent position.

I had an amazing experience here, Jiri and Alex are some of the nicest people I've met, they were both extremely accommodating and easy to talk to. The work was exactly as agreed, and I felt like I learned a lot during my stay. This was my first time volunteering on here and I'm glad for it, I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet, doesn't mind being on their own, and appreciates a very remote countryside location.
