I'm so glad that my first volunteer experience went so well. Lorien's got such a such loving family and the place is surrounded by nature. I started my day with a beautiful walk. During my stay I helped with chopping woods, which was so much fun to do, stacking woods( didn't know there's a certain technique for that as well!) , helped with daily chores, and even cooked for them a few lunches, which was well received and I was so happy they liked my cooking! I enjoyed every second of my stay at the home and very thankful for them welcoming me and teaching me about the nature.

I had a lovely week at the home with Lorien and his family. I stayed in a bell tent at the top of the property and was made to feel very welcome throughout my stay. We enjoyed kayaking, paddleboarding, local walks and even a campfire on my last night. I helped dig soil for workshop sheds, lay slabs, water fruit trees, and assist with cooking and cleaning. The work was fair and varied, and I really appreciated being included in family activities during my visit. Thank you for a great week!

My first volunteering experience was absolutely wonderful and meaningful! Lorien, Viv and Meera and their lovely dogs welcomed me like a real family member from the very start. I got to enjoy so many unforgettable firsts: gardening, varnishing, boating, delicious English homemade meals, and exploring the beautiful English countryside. We shared lovely conversations, sang together, walked in nature and spent evening by the bonfire, and every moment felt special. They were always thoughtful, caring and made sure I felt comfortable and happy throughout this journey. This is more than just work!

My experience at the home was incredible, it is incredibly immersive not just in tasks but in hospitality, you are treated like family and welcomed warmly. If you prefer to spend your free time more solo they are the most respectful and understanding of whatever you choose to do with your time, the converted railway wagon is a cosy and lovely space to yourself and the rural nature is pure bliss. I have learnt so much from Lorien and Viv, being with the family, and the friendly community has been truly the best first world packers experience I could've hoped for, thank you, 100% recommend!

My one week with Lorien, Meera, and Viv is so amazing. I am never be treated as a volunteer but rather a true part of the family. They always let me join all the family activities from going to riding in Wales with Meera, visiting and having dinner at a friend of Lorien, and going to town with Viv. The task is simple, I helped make Meera's bed; honestly Lorien taught me so many skills in carpentry which I never learned before. I also helped with daily task such as cooking and washing dishes. We always have tea break in between the tasks. Such a lovely time to be with the family ❤️❤️
