At first, I thought I'd go there for a couple of weeks to see how things are, but in the end, I found myself leaving after 80 days! And that wouldn't be possible if Suki and Steve were not such lovely and warm people. When I was leaving, it felt like I was saying goodbye to my close friends. Especially their lovely kid, Rocco, who'd give a lot of energy to the whole house!
The place is a big masía, and there's always something to do. For me, the work was quite physical, but I kinda liked it, and at the end of the day, it felt rewarding.
All in all, I strongly recommend this place!

I had a wonderful experience volunteering here. Suki and Steve are incredible hosts. Super kind, organized, and they make you feel welcome from the very first day. The tasks are fair, the environment is peaceful, and the place is perfect if you want to connect with nature and slow down a bit. I met great people and learned new things. I truly recommend this stay, an amazing experience! Suki and Steve, thank you. I'm really glad I got to be a small part of what you're building, and can't wait to see all the amazing things you do!

They are a wonderful family! I felt very comfortable, valued, respected, and all other positive adjectives. Steve and Suki are two good people, and that alone makes all the difference. I spent a month and a half with them, and the tasks were very varied, from weeding, working in the garden, watering, painting, sanding, pruning, to looking after Rocco, their two-year-old baby.
And everything was done with very good energy on both sides.

Unfortunartely I was sick over Christmas and unable to write a review for Victoria in the time period provided so I am writing it here:
Victoria volunteered with us for a month and a half and was a real pleasure to host. She was reliable, helpful and always completed the tasks assigned to her. She was especially wonderful with our son Rocco and we always felt confident and comfortable leaving him in her care. We would happily recommend Victoria to other hosts.

Suki and Steve, along with their son Roco, are such a kind and thoughtful family :) Always respectful and considerate, never imposing, and always checking if things are okay rather than assuming. They’re open-minded and happy to share their culture !
When it comes to work, Steve gives you autonomy and really values people who are serious and committed. Staying with them and with the other volunteers was a real pleasure.

Suki and Steve were amazing. Whenever I asked them for advice on public transport or the best places to visit, they always tried their best to help. I really appreciated how much they would go out of their way to make sure that I am many other volunteers felt comfortable. I think that they are creating a beautiful community of volunteers. I truly wish them the best with their project. I can't wait to see how everything turns out. Also, they have the cutest toddler xx

Oh what a wonderful experience I had at Can Ros!
Suki & Steve create such a lovely environment where people feel welcomed, comfortable and valued. Being able to have my own space was amazing, all while also having the opportunity to engage in community during the family style meals. A true home away from home.
The work is reasonable for the current state of this beautiful Masia. I came with a mindset of wanting to support the development of this project and it felt very fulfilling, and celebrating each others wins at the end of each day made it all worth it! Thank you Suki and Steve!

Steve and Suki were absolutely incredible hosts. the farm is gorgeous and I proud to say that I was there to help! I would definitely recommend coming for atleast a week or two to really get involved in the local community and try to explore more of what the culture has to offer.

Elijah was a really lovely guest. He is respectful, kind-hearted, easy going and hard working. Bonus points for a great taste in music! He felt like part of the fam and we would welcome him back in a heartbeat.

I don't even know how to begin describing how great my stay at the farm was. Suki and Steve are amazing hosts who truly care about your well-being. The place is a stunning 19th century masía on the quiet outskirts of a small town. The working hours are flexible, and I mainly helped in the garden. Steve was always offering to drive us to the beach and share great recommendations for the nearby towns. Thank you, Steve and Suki, for welcoming me and trusting me with your home. I hope to come back in the future to help out more—I can't wait to see the progress of this beautiful masía.

I couldn't have dreamed of a better first experience as a volunteer. Suki and Steve I couldn't have dreamed of a better first experience as a volunteer. Suki and Steve welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home. They were always available if we had a problem, wanted to learn more about us and included us in all aspects of their daily life on the farm. They found tasks suited to your skills and drove us to the beach or to nearby towns after our working hours. Thank you for being so great to me and for giving me a wonderful trip. It was a very intense and meaningful experience, both personally and professionally. I felt welcomed and I sincerely thank you for the trust, the affection, and the opportunity to contribute my grain of sand. It is a project under construction and with challenges, which requires adaptation, availability, and commitment. For me it was much more than a trip: a human experience that allowed me to learn, step out of my comfort zone, and get to know a different reality. I take away lessons and very special memories. ❤️
