We are Fernando and Daniel — two great friends and passionate local English teachers who are always eager to improve our own English and and connect with wonderful people from all around the world.
Motivated by the dream of helping our students grow through cultural exchange, we’ve created a space where learning goes both ways — a mutual
15 hours of help per week
Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
2 days off per week
Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.
Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.
Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.
Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

We are looking for an English teacher who can help us by taking the C1 level group.
Volunteers will need to prepare some lessons as well, we have a lesson plan to follow but it needs to have more interaction with the students and daily vocabulary.
We’re looking for volunteers to support our students in improving their speaking, listening, and vocabulary skills through real conversation and interaction.
You’ll help by:
Leading conversation clubs on topics like:
Airport & travel vocabulary
Ordering at cafés & restaurants
Everyday life & common expressions
Informal slang and practical phrases
Supporting grammar sessions (guided by local teachers)
sometimes you will get one group all the time so you will understand and learn about your students and at that point it will be easier for volunteers to prepare lessons in order to improve their English level.
We kindly ask you to prepare activities to foster students' listening and speaking skills.
If you hold a TEFL certificate or have an education background and plan to stay for at least 2 months, you could be a teacher for an advanced (C1) course.
We are looking for an English Teacher to hold C1 level group preparation, someone responsible and with a strong ethics background.
We expect you to be an enthusiastic teacher who thrives to motivate pupils so that they enjoy their learning process and talking about the dress code for classes is casual. Please, avoid wearing shorts or flip-flops. Closed shoes/sneakers and jeans or pants are highly recommended. you will be given a t-shirt so you can wear it during classes and different outside activites on the institute.
A TEFL certification would be an asset.
Participating in our fun and dynamic “Street Classes” — outdoor lessons where we walk through the streets of Acací
-Volunteers will follow the local rules such as, turning the lights off when there's nobody in there, take care of the utensils, of the fridge and everything if any of these ones are broken by accidentally it needs to be replaced for a new one.
-We expect volunteers to keep this place clean during their stay, with particular emphasis on the bathroom and kitchen areas. *People* who are not part of the volunteer program SHOULD NOT STAY in the house for any reason, unless they have been authorized to do so.
-Please, be mindful that the weather in Acacias is hot and humid, so we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to use deodorant and to take showers every day. (we will tell you with all respect when there's bad smelling around)-
