It's a place entirely focused on health: the group sleeps and wakes up early, does physical activities, takes care of spirituality... Additionally, Renan, the hostel's host, is an inspiring person. Simply the best choice I’ve ever made! The green house is much more than volunteering, it’s a philosophy and a lifestyle, just like surfing. The experience I had was transformative and I’m eternally grateful to Renan for the opportunity, who is an excellent professional, a leader and a surf instructor. Very flexible, committed, and takes his work seriously. The general service at the house is very calm, as it is always being cleaned, so the work is only to keep it organized. Volunteering at the hostel was rewarding! I recommend it 100%. There is a campfire, a space to work, sofas to read and socialize. Everything is full of nature, art and an incredible vibe! I learned a lot by volunteering here. I highly recommend it for making friends and getting to know a peaceful place in Brazil, near Rio de Janeiro. Renan is a great leader, communicates well and is an excellent surf instructor. The little dog Mija is a sweetheart. It is a 15-minute walk from the beach, near markets, shops and restaurants. I learned a lot of Portuguese and made many friends! I am leaving happy! See you soon, Renan

The bamboo grove experience was amazing. The exact purpose of the project.
That community effort, in nature, harvesting the bamboo that later becomes a chalet. It’s awesome. I recommend experiencing it!

The volunteering at Green House was a very good experience. The vibe of the place is quite calm, focused on surfing and surrounded by good camaraderie among people, whether they are volunteers or guests. Renan was a host who was always available for any questions and always explained in detail the tasks to be carried out. In addition, the surfing class available in the volunteering also adds an extra layer to the experience of the place, especially for those who had never tried surfing before. For all of this, it is an experience I would recommend without a doubt.
