This is my first volunteer experience and it is awesome!!! Everybody in the hostel is very friendly and easygoing, they all very willing to help you. The task isn't tough. Every night we will enjoy the dinner together with customers, and the food is really nice! I will recommend this place to anyone interested in town life. It's easier to blend in with the locals if you speak French.

Tadoussac was a great surprise, with beautiful nature, whale watching, music, and all kinds of people. The workload at the hostel was easy and fair, and the food provided for volunteers was really good, so overall it was a great deal! Melanie, the manager, was also a good boss when an issue came up, she was able to handle the situation and take care of it. I really enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it!

I had a wonderful time in Tadoussac. It's a great mixture between social interacting and diving into nature. A piece of my heart will always stay here. The volunteers, the staff and (most of) the guests are amazing and super open-minded. The nature around is amazing and there are bars to go out at night (always busy). The other volunteers and I had bad encounters with in old man though, we didn't feel comfortable or safe around him. Our host had our back and told him to leave for a bit. All in all I'm super grateful for all the experience there and I would definitely go back!!

I have nothing but good things to say about this experience. The people were very nice, the work wasn't too hard, and the location was perfect. I stayed for a month, which was just the right amount of time to truly take in everything this unique place had to offer. I really hope that I can come back someday to visit.

I had a lovely time at the hostel. It was the perfect place to slow down. Tadoussac is a quiet and beautiful village and while there isn't loads to do, you can easily fill your time whale watching, swimming in the lake or going on small hikes. The work is simple and very fair and gives you plenty of free time. While the accommodation is very basic and can get pretty hot in the summer, for the amount of work and meals you get it is a good deal. The staff is very helpful and makes you feel very welcome. If you're in the Quebec area I recommend coming to volunteer at the hostel!
