The whole hostel team and all the other volunteers were so friendly and welcoming, and we shared so many wonderful moments together. The work and working hours are well organised too, and you have plenty of time to enjoy your free time and explore the area. My six-week stay flew by. I spent one month at Hostel20 and it was a great experience overall! Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Staying with the three other volunteers creates a nice social atmosphere too. Work was fair, mostly cleaning tasks, but the hours are well respected so there’s always lots free time to explore the surrounding areas. Would 100% recommend!

Hostel20 was my first volunteer experience and I only have good words for it! I shared a room with other three volunteers; accomodations were all clean and comfortable. Conditions and established working hours are respected. It's a nice environment to learn French or Spanish. The staff are super welcoming and answered all my questions patiently. The hostel has an international environment where you can connect with people from all over! I recommend this experience if you're looking to practice languages, meet people and get to know the area (Bayonne it’s pretty, and well connected).

I stayed at the hostel for the past two months and the lovely staff and other volunteers made this an unforgettable experience! Bayonne is small but beautiful and there are many cities close by to explore, and opportunities to go hiking or to the beach in your days off. The work hours are well communicated in advance and although it is mainly cleaning, it is not too exhausting and there's a variety of different tasks to do. I would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone who's looking to travel while also making friendships that last beyond the stay. I already miss you guys! À bientôt!!

I stayed at the hostel for two months as my first volunteering experience: I had the time of my life, I cannot express how thankful I am. Everything is exactly as stated in their post, they respected the working hours previously arranged and even went out of their way to accommodate to requests respecting schedules when posible. The same went for the meals and benefits, as drinks and usage of bikes. And as for the staff, I love you guys. these are the loveliest people ever, they make up an amazing team. We got to know them in and out of work and I would recommend them 100 times over!

First I'd like to thank all the staff and my fellow volunteers for making this experience unforgettable. The hostel is in the perfect location, close to everything. The hours are fair and the work can be hard sometimes but since you have the hours scheduled and you are supposed to stay until the end then there's no hurry to finish early. The staff its pretty kind and they were always willing to socialize with the volunteers.

My time volunteering at the hostel was something I'll always be grateful for! The staff was incredible to work with - kind, organized, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Justine, Clem, and Romeo for all of the energy and leadership. The atmosphere of the hostel makes it easy to meet and connect with people, and I ended up making friendships that will last beyond my stay. Already planning on going back to Bayonne again one day and keeping in touch with the people I met. Beds are comfy, you can use the kitchen and laundry, and facilities are clean! Highly recommend!!
