This was my first volunteer experience, and it has been incredible. The people I met were super friendly, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and you can organize the tasks as you prefer—there is always something new to do around the house. It truly feels like being in your own home, which is deeply appreciated when you are far away from yours. Being tidy and proactive are essential here. I am very grateful for this opportunity and would love to come back another time!

This volunteering experience was wonderful. I felt like I was part of a family and was able to connect with some really, really kind people. Everyone here is always willing to help, and the volunteering hours go by so quickly. Thank you for letting me extend my stay and spend a little more time here. This place is truly worth it. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to others!

It was an amazing volunteering experience, mostly thanks to the people I got to meet. The location is great, not too far from Manchester, close to parks and greenery, giving you the best of both city and nature. The guys who live here full time were super welcoming and friendly, it was awesome meeting them. You don't really have set hours to follow, everyone can plan their work and days off as they like, as long as you complete the weekly tasks and hit around 20 hours per week. It really felt like home to me, I'd definitely go back if I get the chance. One of the best experiences I've ever had

I want to write this more as a message for future volunteers than a typical review. It's not an ordinary volunteering experience—it won't find a rigid routine or someone directing your every step. However, please don't use that flexibility as an excuse to slack off. Figure out what needs doing and take ownership. If you do your part and show up for the space, you'll receive so much more in return: a loving, open-minded, fun, and kind community. Be fair to the place, don't treat it like a free hostel, and keep in mind that true volunteering is a two-way street. Thank you for my time there!

I really enjoyed my stay w Victoria and her family. Her daughter is such a cutie! I mainly helped her mom in the garden. 2 days on 2 off. It was simple work and I had a lot of free time. I would visit the Vicarage every other day so I had the chance to socialize with the other volunteers. Joe's is very giving allowing his friends and volunteers to stay at his homes. Wish the best to everyone !
