I spent around three weeks volunteering here and had an amazing experience! The whole family makes you feel at home from the very first moment and is always happy to show you and teach you about the local culture and the area.
You also have plenty of free time, so there’s lots of opportunity to explore nearby village, do different activities, or simply enjoy a walk around National Park Thy. Gitte and Kristina are also really nice and often suggest activities based on your interests, taking you to some beautiful and interesting places.
I really enjoyed my time here! Highly recommended!

The hostel has become one of my favourite places because of how comfortable I felt at your place. I really enjoyed every opportunity I had to practise my Danish with you, talk about the differences between our cultures, and get to know each of you better. We had a really great time in the hostel! The family is very welcoming, open and friendly; we felt right at home from day one :) The work is easy, and they let you choose what kind of task you like to do. You have more than enough spare time to discover the nature, the sea, the museums, and the Nationalpark. They have bikes, and you can even use a car sometimes. One day, Gitte drove us around and showed us the most important places, which was amazing! We highly recommend this place to other travellers :D

I stayed as a volunteer for 3 weeks, and it was an amazing experience. I was working around 3 hours per day and the activities were very chill. I got a chance to experience Danish culture that you cannot get by living in a city like Copenhagen. I felt like a family member, specially with the dinners we had together. I highly recommend this volunteer experience!

That's the best place to be if you want to know Denmark culture. Gitte toke me join local community Apple cider festival, show me around the hostel and Thister. I have change to try different kind of Dennish cuisine by Karl and Gitte maker and that was super delicious. I have met all the family members and felt like I am a family member too. Gitter teach me how to knitting 🧶 and gave me wool for presents when I leave. Kristina show me how pottery make and gave me a gift too. The work there is not much and easy to finish. I biked with electric bike to explore every sunny day. Thanks for everything

The perfect experience for who want to take a break from big cities and immerse themselves in nature. The hostel is small but there are always activities to do such as painting, gardening or working with ceramics. In your free time you can use the car or bike to visit nearby villages or take a trip to the national park. Tasks are usually in the morning and are very light. The whole Gitte's family is very helpful with any request and open to share danish culture with you. This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I couldn't be happier.

I really enjoyed the stay at the hostel. The entire family was very welcoming and there is also other volunteers you can do activities with. It takes only 10 minutes to go to the beach by bike and you can go swimming, rent a surfboard or watch the sunset. I stayed for 2 weeks and for me it was the perfect amount of time:)
