My experience at the hostel was incredible. Gitte is wonderful—she made me feel welcomed, cared for, and at home. She shared local culture, cooked delicious meals, and showed me beautiful nearby places. Kristina was kind, helpful, and always ready to guide me. The hostel is cozy, with a lovely garden and amazing views. I'm deeply grateful to Gitte, Kristina, and their family, and would happily return.

I spent around three weeks volunteering here and had an amazing experience! The whole family makes you feel at home from the very first moment and is always happy to show you and teach you about the local culture and the area.
You also have plenty of free time, so there’s lots of opportunity to explore nearby village, do different activities, or simply enjoy a walk around National Park Thy. Gitte and Kristina are also really nice and often suggest activities based on your interests, taking you to some beautiful and interesting places.
I really enjoyed my time here! Highly recommended!

Hey there, Gitte, Kristina, Karl, Astrid, Tobias and the baby! Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I enjoyed my time with you so much. The hostel has become one of my favourite places because of how comfortable I felt at your place. I really enjoyed every opportunity I had to practise my Danish with you, talk about the differences between our cultures, and get to know each of you better. A special thank you to Gitte for giving me the chance to share so many wonderful dinners with you and to Kristina, for sharing her ideas and encouraging me to go on a troll hunt that became such a trip! ;)

We had a really great time in the hostel! The family is very welcoming, open and friendly; we felt right at home from day one :) The work is easy, and they let you choose what kind of task you like to do. You have more than enough spare time to discover the nature, the sea, the museums, and the Nationalpark. They have bikes, and you can even use a car sometimes. One day, Gitte drove us around and showed us the most important places, which was amazing! We highly recommend this place to other travellers :D

I stayed as a volunteer for 3 weeks, and it was an amazing experience. I was working around 3 hours per day and the activities were very chill. I got a chance to experience Danish culture that you cannot get by living in a city like Copenhagen. I felt like a family member, specially with the dinners we had together. I highly recommend this volunteer experience!
