Benjamin and Mingrui were both very kind and welcoming. Benjamin's patience when explaining tasks. Mingrui is very responsible, collaborative, and funny, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, everything went really well and I had a great experience at the castle. I'm grateful for the time I spent there!

I stayed at the host for a month, and it was a pleasant escape from reality.
The property is surrounded by woods and mesmerizing landscapes and Paris is just an hour away.
Some parts of the castle are in need of restoration, but the work consist mainly of cleaning rooms for guests.
Common areas and our rooms were really comfortable, though a few issues, such as the lack of hot water and wifi in one of the two buildings.
Beyond that, I met some fantastic people with whom I bonded immediately and I am very grateful to our host, Benjamin, for this first Worldpackers experience :)

I had a good time a the host. The hours were as expected and the the room was clean and comfortable. The castle is quite large with lots of areas to explore. There was definitely some cleaning tasks that were gross but overall the work was easy. It's a bit far from everything so i recommend arriving with groceries. There are free buses to the neighboring towns which i recommend you ask Benjamin about because he will help you set it up. :))

This was my first time volunteering with Worldpackers, and I enjoyed it. The work involves 3 hours a day, and Benjamin is an amazing person. The castle is beautiful, very quiet, and peaceful. It is currently undergoing restoration, but the atmosphere is relaxed. The only downside is the public transport in the area, especially on weekends; if you go to Paris on your day off, it's best to leave early since you'll need to return early as well.

I stayed for 5 days and had a great time. The daily life was very calm on the countryside and I still had enough time to explore the towns around and an afternoon in Paris :)
Everyone was super nice!

The host needs a lot of work, so there are many opportunities to contribute on rehabilitating it both indoors and outdoors. Some of the rooms have been left full of old things and bushes were left growing uncontrollably, so this is a great volunteer experience if you like deep cleaning and big landscaping tasks. I loved how the countryside is so peaceful, and the neighboring city of Provins is like out of a storybook. The host Benjamin is very agreeable and adaptable, so I could structure my day around when I wanted to work. A great escape to an authentic French experience!

I had such a wonderful at the host!! Benjamin is super nice, caring, and extremely funny. That's exactly why working together with everyone was so enjoyable. The work isn't hard at all.. we mainly took care of cleaning the rooms and getting them ready for guests. Additionally, it's a very peaceful place where you can really enjoy your free time! Living together with the other volunteers is really nice. We often cooked, played games, or watched movies together. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! :)

I can't recommend staying at the host enough! Castle and its surroundings are beautiful space, perfect for anybody looking for breath far from big city. Benjamin, host, is very welcoming, helpful and eager to create shared moments such as movie nights on projector. Tasks are adapted to everybody capabilities and you can learn a lot about using different kinds of cleaning machinery :)) Also, if you ask in advance, you can add working hours in one day to have more full days off. I would love to come back one day to see progress of the castle's renovations. Thank you for everything Benjamin!

A truly memorable experience. Benjamin made sure everyone felt completely at ease throughout the stay. The location was amazing and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. I felt I could have my privacy when I wanted it but I also felt at ease to chat away to people in the kitchen or living room at any time. The work schedule was very generous and Benjamin was kind in giving us lifts to places. Also a very good place to stay if you want to see Paris (1 hour away on the train).

I really enjoyed my stay at the castle! It was the perfect place to find peace and serenity, take a break from city life, and enjoy the surroundings. You can go for lovely walks in the woods, explore the nearby town, or even take a day trip to Paris. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was always peaceful. Thank you Benjamin for having me and for this amazing experience!
