It was my first volunteering experience and I am extremely happy to have done it in Picodogs! I spent an incredible month in the company of animals that are super cuddly! They give you so much love that you don't feel like you're working. The island is great and I had the opportunity to go see whales and swim with dolphins thanks to Dania. 100% recommend this experience that I will never forget!

I had the best time at the shelter because of the people and the animals. The coworkers are super nice and welcoming, and the animals are very friendly and cuddly. The work felt meaningful, and I'm so happy I could make a difference for these animals. Dania also gave me the opportunity to go on trips with CW, which made my stay even more special! The only thing I would mention is that having a car would have made getting around easier, as public transportation is somewhat limited. Overall, I'm incredibly grateful for this experience and will always remember my time at the shelter!

I had an amazing experience working at the shelter i would recommend it to all who loves spending time with animals. The tasks were mainly feeding, cleaning, walking the shelter and also I got to spend plenty of time with the animals. The location of the shelter was amazing it was outside of the city in the nature. The staff house was clean and comfortable and everyone i lived and worked with was very nice. Sometimes I had some tension within the team. Dania also gave me the chance to go whale watching and swimming with dolphins it was incredible.

I had an amazing time volunteering with the shelter and would highly recommend this experience. It was lovely getting to spend so much time with the animals (as the tasks were mostly feeding and cleaning there was plenty of time to play). The shelter is in a beautiful location as well, so you are surrounded by nature as you work. The staff house was clean and comfortable, and everyone I lived/worked with was friendly and welcoming. This experience was truly magical. I grew very attached to the shelter and cats and felt I was making a real difference in their lives. These animals deserve all the love and care they can get! Volunteering at PicoDogs was a great experience that i can reccomend to anyone who is committed to helping animals. Here you can experience life on a beautiful and very peaceful island. The work mainly involves cleaning and feeding the animals, and since it is a small and well-kept shelter, the tasks are not difficult. The accommodation is also comfortable and well located. Most of the team are very friendly and will take good care of you during your stay, however, there were some minor tensions within the team.

I visited PicoDogs during the winter of December. While often cold and rainy on the island, it was beautiful, and the time spent with the animals was wonderful. You will find yourself getting attached to them very quickly! It was a lovely experience, and I would recommend it to anyone traveling solo to take a chance. Working at the shelter is such a rewarding experience! The animals are amazing, I miss them all so much already, and the people are incredible as well. Everyone is so welcoming and willing to help out, you feel right at home! The staff house is also a great place to live and having your own kitchen and living space to rest is great. The team is also really amazing with helping you experience activities on the island like whale watching.
