My experience in the hostel Guesthouse was amazing. Naoto is such a kind and attentive manager, he's very attentive that everyone in the team feels at home. Yuzawa is pretty convenient to reach from Tokyo and you can explore the surrounding areas with local trains.

I had so much fun with Nao and the other volunteers! They were all super sweet. It was my first time volunteering and working in a the hostel. But it was the perfect start. I was there in a not busy period so we had a lot of free time to da bunch of stuff and Nao also took us places to visit. I highly recommend the place!

Naoto is the best host ever!!! He was so welcoming and kind and my my stay feel so relaxed and enjoyable. Whatever you ask him, he will happily help you out! The stay in the hostel guesthouse felt like a relaxed holiday in mountains of Japan. I explored so much nature (waterfalls/lakes etc) and loved walking through yuzawa and meeting locals! The whole town has it's own little charm and is perfect for a short getaway. We were 3 volunteers and we really had fun together (including Naoto in our Clique). The work was super easy and minimal (I was here during summer time). It was a great stay!

I usually don't write reviews, but Naoto and the hostel Guesthouse definitely deserve one... Not only does he provide a safe and comfortable place to stay, but he genuinely cares for you and each traveler who is lucky enough to stay with him. Tasks are mostly cleaning and helping with the guesthouse, but while you are at it, you immerse yourself in local culture, get to know very interesting stories, and meet friends from all over the world. I recommend it 10/10.
