From the very beginning the crew made me feel welcome. Everyone gave me pieces of advice here and there in order to do well at the reception and get the most out of the outdoor activities they hold almost on a daily basis. In fact, they helped me every step of the way given that I barely spoke Portuguese. I'm really thankful for this enriching and insightful experience.

My experience at Caiçara hostel was amazing! I lived a true immersion in caiçara life, meeting people who live there, understanding a bit of the dynamics and the local lifestyle and being part of the hostel's routine.
The environment is relaxed, the food is delicious, and the location is wonderful: facing the beach, next to the bakery and with everything very close and easily accessible.
But, without a doubt, what made this experience so special were the people I met: Aira, Gui, Rafa, Lara, Laila, Alexa...
It was a very special exchange and a experience I will carry with me. I highly recommend!

It was my first volunteering experience; Rafael was an exceptional host, which made all the difference. Some improvements to the accommodations need to be made, but they have already started these improvements and they are also implementing a shared social space; I want to go back and see this new look. I met amazing people, which made the experience much better. The only point is that, as a woman traveling alone, in some situations I didn't feel very comfortable, because many men from outside circulate around the hostel; I think this should be reconsidered.

It was the most incredible experience I've ever had, traveling alone, working and staying at a hostel with a mixed shared dorm room was challenging, I was a bit scared at first but it was all very smooth, the people at the hostel are amazing, they welcomed me really warmly and I had all the support I needed to do my job, the facilities are good and comfortable, the only thing missing is a comfortable social area.
I connected with amazing people, I listened and shared experiences, I learned a lot more about Life, I connected with myself and it was sensational.
Highly recommend and I’ll be back soon ❤️

My experience at Hostel Caiçara was the best possible, I just have to thank you for this incredible experience, the tasks are well divided and the host Rafael ( Rasta ) is an exceptional guy who I can say has become a great friend of mine ... As my first volunteer experience, without a doubt, was the best choice I made ... Not to mention that the hostel faces the sea with an incredible view and easy access ... I would like to thank everyone responsible for the hostel, the entire Caiçara team!!! Thank you, we're in this together!!!
