Jefry and Faye welcomed me with so much warmth, trust and respect to their beautiful permaculture farm at the host. I stayed for one week in their cosy glamping 'dome', while working on hands on jobs around the farm. The work was hard in the hot and humid conditions of Cocorná, but it was extremely rewarding to see my contribution to their inspiring project, and I was fed well by Faye throughout the week! I would definitely recommend if you enjoy peace, tranquility, being at one with nature (birds, monkeys, fireflies!) and are looking for a transformative, loving environment in the wild!

My girlfriend and I felt extremely welcomed at Casa Colibrí. They have a beautiful family and 2 amazing dogs and the environment is a great vibe. Additionally my girlfriend and I stayed in their wooden dome which was extremely comfortable. You get 3 meals a day usually consisting of rice and beans and eggs and arepas the food is really balanced and nutritious. Whilst there we learned a lot about sustainability and how to make compost. I have a great deal of respect for Jefry and his family and thank them for welcoming us into their home

Casa Colibrí was a wonderful place to connect with the nature, and spend time with a wonderful family. Jeffrey & Fey are warm and welcoming and they have created something very beautiful and have a lovely family. We learned a lot about working with the land in the week we were there, the work is hard but rewarding and the passion of the project makes you want to da good job.

Jefry and his family warmly welcomed me for the two weeks I spent with them. Here you'll discover a wonderful project carried out with passion. I was able to do many different tasks and have some unforgettable experiences. The work, which can sometimes be physical, takes place in the morning (and later if you'd like to help). In the afternoons, you won't be short of things to do, as the area is brimming with activities. If you'd like to contribute to a great project and learn a lot alongside a wonderful family, you've come to the right place.

My partner and I spent 2 weeks in Casa Colibrí and felt very welcome into Jefry’s home. The meals provided were very fulfilling and often needed for the hours of work. We did a mixture of gardening, building and housework during our stay, some days more demanding than others. Their house is truely in the mountains and so you feel very immersed in nature during the stay. Thank you for a great experience!

My boyfriend and I volunteered at Casa Colibrí for one week. It was a wonderful experience. The place they have built is truly inspiring to us and we loved getting to know the family. Their home and land is beautiful and Jeffery and Faye are the kindest hosts. The working hours are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. They are happy to receive more help if you have the energy but respect those hours if you wish not to since the work can sometimes be demanding. There are waterfalls, rivers, and beautiful nature to explore on your time off. Thank you for welcoming us into your home!

My first volunteering experience couldn't have had a better destination. Casa Colibrí is one of those places that reminds you how the world could be: a life based on respect, mindful use of resources, and a circular economy. In the middle of the Cocorná mountains I learned, helped, and discovered another way of living. Jefry and Fee make you feel part of the project and generously share what they know. An experience I wholeheartedly recommend, especially if you have a calling to serve. On the day of arrival, arrive during daylight, bring boots, insect repellent, and lots of energy ;)
