I can't think of anything to complain about with the hostel. The manager, Luiz, is extremely friendly, flexible and understanding. As far as guests go, the hostel seems to attract a high caliber of guests that are always respectful. My sense of comfort was never shaken during my stay, even when I irresponsibly left my phone or laptop lying around. The breakfast is great with a healthy variety. I've never had any food stolen from the fridge either.

The hostel is a place where you will work hard. The hours are long, and so is free time. It is a place where you will do extra functions besides the role of receptionist initially advertised, but somewhere you can learn a good basis for hospitality as a lot is required. Besides that you will meet different people there as guests are always coming in. It is a good international experience. And there are events as movie nights and such in the hostel. Which is fun! The manager Luiz, though could be more flexible, supportive and patient towards staff. Overall a positive first experience.

Ciao Daniel, la tua valutazione è importante e la terremo in considerazione. Tuttavia non è stato chiaro cosa mancasse in pazienza e flessibilità riguardo al tuo lavoro. Quando sei stato assente e non hai completato un giorno del turno e non hai avvisato la direzione né l'altro membro dello staff che stava facendo il turno prima del tuo. Forse quando hai insistito a prenderti tanto tempo libero a Natale e Capodanno, chiedendolo ogni giorno. Qualcosa che era già stato comunicato dall'inizio, prima che tu iniziassi il volontariato. Con tutto questo, sapendo che eravamo a corto di una volontaria, la squadra ha scambiato con te e il responsabile si è offerto di restare al tuo posto per i due giorni. Non capiamo nemmeno quando segnali mancanza di supporto, anche quando la direzione ti ha difeso per aver dormito durante il turno, lasciando gli ospiti in attesa all'esterno.
Abbiamo provato a dirtelo tutto e ti è sempre stato detto che era molto ammirevole il tuo atteggiamento nell'imparare e nel voler fare le cose nel modo giusto.
I criteri di valutazione sono soggettivi, con tutti i punti sopra citati, eppure riteniamo che la tua esperienza con noi sia stata più che discreta; al contrario, lo stesso non è stato considerato da te, essendo la prima e unica volta che ciò accade.
Forse, perché è stata la tua prima esperienza. In ogni caso, continuiamo a augurarti molta fortuna e successo. Un abbraccio

I had a wonderful time at the hostel, I couldn't thank the manager Luiz enough, he made me feel a part of the team straight away, here I made great friends I will definitely take for life, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants to have an incredible time in São Paulo, the hostel is closely located to fun places and everything you may need, also the guests are very friendly, which makes everything worth it. I will cherish the memories I made here for a long time! ;)

The hostel was my first experience in the worldpackers community and to be perfectly honest, nothing would've been better! The location is amazing, in a very secure and chill neighbourhood and in close proximity to pretty much everything one need, the work hours are also great: well scheduled, non-taxing and amazingly distributed so you can rest well in between shifts. The hostel on itself is well thought and clean (Shout to Rai and Cris, lovely ladies) and the staff... Oh the staff. You don't just work here, you make friends. To Hélcio, Marco, Jovane and Dennis: Thank you. It was great. ❤️

Amazing place to work full of nice people and good experiences to have, I wish I could stay more, organized space, good food, chill and good hosts , but the best is the location near groceries stores, bars and the metro station.

My time as the hostel changed my life forever. I was able to practice speaking Portuguese with the team and also meet people from all over the world. Helcio and the staff are seriously like family and accepted me as soon as I arrived. I spoke Portuguese with the other employees the whole time which really was amazing. I got to put on events like Pub crawl night, Caipirinhas for the hostel & just showing the city to people staying at the hostel. At the same time I was able to meet locals which was my goal to begin with. I strongly recommend working here as I can't imagine a better opportunity.

The hostel is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Helcio and Marco are very funny and confident., the only negative point is Helcio's football team haha. The tasks are easy and everyone like to help each other. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to get to know São Paulo better and the Vila Madalena neighborhood. You're not regretting !!

The hostel was my best experience as a Worldpacker so far, the place has such a good atmosphere and the people that work there are amazing! I felt very welcome in there and extended my stay for a while. The owners are very friendly and helpful with the work, and the accomodations are really nice. Plus, it's located in a great neighborhood, close to the best nightlife spots of Vila Madalena and also to the underground and a lot of facilities. I'm really grateful by staying in there and meeting so many nice people around!

I am really, really excited to have spent my days in this fantastic place . I would like to say thanks to Helcio, who more than just a boss, is also a good friend. Marquinhos, the other big boss, was my late night buddy. Both have an exquisite sense of style, evident in the fantastic structure, and the clean and beautiful the hostel of this wonderful hostel. I just have to say thank you!!!
