I can't think of anything to complain about with the hostel. The manager, Luiz, is extremely friendly, flexible and understanding. As far as guests go, the hostel seems to attract a high caliber of guests that are always respectful. My sense of comfort was never shaken during my stay, even when I irresponsibly left my phone or laptop lying around. The breakfast is great with a healthy variety. I've never had any food stolen from the fridge either.

The hostel is a place where you will work hard. The hours are long, and so is free time. It is a place where you will do extra functions besides the role of receptionist initially advertised, but somewhere you can learn a good basis for hospitality as a lot is required. Besides that you will meet different people there as guests are always coming in. It is a good international experience. And there are events as movie nights and such in the hostel. Which is fun! The manager Luiz, though could be more flexible, supportive and patient towards staff. Overall a positive first experience.

Hello Daniel, your evaluation is important and we will take it into account. However, it wasn’t clear what was lacking in patience and flexibility regarding your work. When you were absent and did not complete one day of the shift and did not inform management nor the other staff member who was performing the shift before yours. Perhaps when you insisted on taking so many days off at Christmas and New Year, requesting this every day. Something that had already been communicated from the beginning, before you started volunteering. With all that, knowing we were down one volunteer, the team swapped with you and the manager offered to stay in your place for the two days. We also do not understand when you point to a lack of support, even when management defended you for having slept during your shift leaving guests waiting outside.
We tried to tell you everything and you were always told that your attitude in learning and wanting to do things correctly was very commendable.
Evaluation criteria are subjective; with all the points cited above, still we consider that your experience with us was more than average, conversely the same was not considered by you, being the first and only time this happens.

I had a wonderful time at the hostel, I couldn't thank the manager Luiz enough, he made me feel a part of the team straight away, here I made great friends I will definitely take for life, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants to have an incredible time in São Paulo, the hostel is closely located to fun places and everything you may need, also the guests are very friendly, which makes everything worth it. I will cherish the memories I made here for a long time! ;)

The hostel was my first experience in the worldpackers community and to be perfectly honest, nothing would've been better! The location is amazing, in a very secure and chill neighbourhood and in close proximity to pretty much everything one need, the work hours are also great: well scheduled, non-taxing and amazingly distributed so you can rest well in between shifts. The hostel on itself is well thought and clean (Shout to Rai and Cris, lovely ladies) and the staff... Oh the staff. You don't just work here, you make friends. To Hélcio, Marco, Jovane and Dennis: Thank you. It was great. ❤️

Amazing place to work full of nice people and good experiences to have, I wish I could stay more, organized space, good food, chill and good hosts , but the best is the location near groceries stores, bars and the metro station.
