I really enjoyed my time working on the Han river. The surrounding area is beautiful and I was able to use the equipment whenever. the boat and the others at the River are all so welcoming and really made me feel comfortable. The work can be physically demanding, but rewarding to see all the customers having a great time, there's down time so you can rest as well. Overall was a lot of fun. Thanks for having me!

This placement was much more physically and mentally demanding than I expected. The work involved frequent heavy lifting of kayaks and paddleboards, cleaning equipment and tracking multiple things and people at once. A good level of Korean is very helpful for communicating with guests. A big challenge was communication with the host—I became very hesitant to ask questions because I often felt discouraged from seeking clarification. If you expect to spend time in the water, that was not my experience—the role is mostly supporting guests and equipment operations. Accommodation was very basic.
