Program Details
I am waiting for proactive and upbeat people who want to live a simple experience. I am starting a private Ecological Reserve, where the main goal is to preserve the surrounding Cerrado (especially to care for the Rio Formiga and a spring inside the property) and implement new cultivars. Also people who help with small creative constructions to improve the structures of our ranch/campsite. There is no electricity yet, nor internet at the site (less than 1 km away there is a way to connect). What we offer is a wild place for a good digital detox, also away from the noises and bustle of cities, by the edge of a wonderfully crystal-clear and cool river. Oh, we also do not use cooking gas, only wood stove, which makes this another daily activity!
Some useful items and others very necessary: boots and long clothing, a cap or hat, diving goggles or a mask, water shoes, basic first-aid supplies for potential accidents and other camping gear.
Activities & Shift
We have a lot to do, but not much work! The activities and actions are arranged during the stay, within the needs already stated, respecting the limitations and aptitudes of each person. Los voluntarios will have plenty of time to themselves (THAT'S WHY WE DO NOT WELCOME A SINGLE PERSON!). It may be that we concentrate more activities on weekends, when I stay longer at the campsite/ranch (I am a full-time teacher at a full-time school!).
Rules
- We do not accommodate a single volunteer; we always try to pair at least 2 travelers so they are not so alone, or even host pairs/trios and couples (when both people are active!).
- We do not tolerate 'religious' or racial intolerance, or any kind. We value constructive dialogues (which is why we stay far from extremisms and radicalisms).
- Thoughtfulness, kindness, proactivity!
