Program Details

We are a family project with plans to create community spaces that promote the values of peace, holistic health, ecology, and respect for all living beings🌍💚 We have renovated an old masía from 1890, surrounded by almond trees, olive trees, and carob trees, a flora rich in medicinal aromatic plants and in garrigue and native Mediterranean forest. We speak Eng, Esp, Ita, a little French, basic German.

In the house you will find Sara and Miquel, lovers of good books, cinema, music, home-cooked food and world cultures. Their little daughter of almost 2 years, together with Tao and Norbu, the resident cats🐱🐱, as well as the wildlife that surrounds them: foxes, roe deer, wild boars, hares, birds and even fireflies.

We welcome all who want to foster bonds of exchange and solidarity, share their knowledge, talents and generosity, and be part of a constellation that grows with every gesture. We are happy to host travelers, get to know their culture, learn from them, share this natural space where we live and have a good time. This is what motivates us the most.🌞💫

We can offer an equipped caravan (2 spots) with a dry toilet and an outdoor shower. Kitchen and ground floor of the shared house. The house has 2 floors and is comfortable, so it is possible to have enough privacy to rest, read, etc. We like to cook meals together, but if you feel like it you can eat on your own. We are in the middle of nature, we collect rainwater to wash ourselves and from a spring to drink.
We are 10 minutes by car and 1 hour walking from the village.

Camper van enthusiasts and caravanners are welcome, we have very nice esplanades for this type of travelers.

Activities & Shift

🌿 We adapt the schedules according to the person and the tasks

Possible activities:

- Help us paint the interior of a part of the house
- Outdoor work: dig, create gardens, plant trees, clean trails or prune, harvest almonds or carob
- Collect firewood for the winter
- Create outdoor free play spaces for children, benches and tables with recycled wood
- Various DIY jobs
- Collaborate in the kitchen or prepare meals
- Help with cleaning
- In November/December, we need help with the olive harvest — we have both centenary and young olive trees, and the work is done with breaks to rest and share meals outdoors.

We do not have a rigid volunteer program; we prefer to agree on tasks and schedules with you, according to your interests and availability 🤝.
We usually ask for about 5 hours a day of collaboration, in exchange for accommodation and shared meals.

📅 Meal times (approx):

- Breakfast: 8:00 - 9:00
- Lunch: 12:30 - 13:30
- Dinner: 20:00 - 22:00

Normally we eat all together, although you can do it on your own if you prefer 🍽️.

In your free time there are many things to do, whether staying on the finca if you like to explore or the nearby towns. You’ll enjoy views of Terra Alta and les Terres de l'Ebre: the Cardó range and the Pándols i Cavall ranges. Places of historical appreciation, due to the legacy of the old monastery and the 13 hermitages, (Desert of Cardó) the oldest yew forest in Catalonia (Teixeda de Cosp), and the events of the Spanish Civil War that made the Sierra de Pándols sadly famous for it. From the property, via a 30-minute walking path, you can reach the Vía Verde and some crystal-clear water pools. The town of Pinell de Brai is a 1-hour walk away (10 minutes by car, 30 min by bike), a tourist site for its Cathedral of Wine, the 'cases penjades' and the memorial of the Battle of the Ebro. In town there are fresh water springs and two active wood-fired ovens that bake bread and pastries every day. Likewise, the town of Benifallet, on the banks of the Ebro, is a little over 10 minutes by car away.
