Since the very beginning, being at Luisa’s place felt like home! A colorful, joyful and amazing soul, being the heart and hand of her merceneira! The tasks are relaxed and the time spent together had been amazing! It has been a wonderful experience to know more about Brazilian colture and to meet people from all over the world!

It was a pleasant experience to get to know the city, to turn wood into something beautiful, a job that seems easy but requires time and patience, I really enjoyed learning about carpentry. My experience at Casa-Ateliê Marceneira was an opportunity to experience a different kind of accommodation. Lizz shares the house with guests, so there are always new people. The atelier has its own identity, with plants, wood and a routine that blends work and daily life. It was a learning and exchange experience.

I loved the experience! It's really like being at home, living with other really nice people. Luiza, the host and owner of the house, is really kind and is always attentive to make you feel at ease.

I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to spend some time in a quiet place without much hustle. It's also good to know that it's not in downtown Campinas, but in Barão Geraldo, which is a district of Campinas.

I carry with me very beautiful memories from this experience. ❤️

Luiza is very friendly, I was well received at the house. The tasks do not have predefined schedules, the volunteer is free to do them at the time they prefer. I could observe and participate in the renovation of a bookshelf. I learned some carpentry techniques that I found very interesting. I met two other volunteers during this period and we walked together in our free time.

Volunteering at Luiza's house was a very special and meaningful experience. Along with my colleague Fernanda, it was our first time and we couldn't have been luckier. Luiza is an incredible host who makes you feel at home from day one and ends up becoming a very lovely friendship. The environment is based on respect, equality and clear communication, which creates a healthy, solid and harmonious setting. The area is quiet and cheerful, you meet people from different parts of the world and the tasks are carried out with pleasure and commitment. I recommend it without hesitation.

Honestly, we have no words to express the great experience we've had with Luiza during our first volunteering experience. She has been kind, patient, understanding, and, above all, loving; she made us feel at home and in a happy environment.
We shared long nights of games and laughter, as well as numerous walks and fun experiences. With Luiza you never get bored and, moreover, you learn a lot from her art and love for wood. We would like to thank her again for this great opportunity and tell future volunteers not to be afraid and to dare to live this incredible adventure

The house is a beautiful and very powerful place. It’s easy to feel at home with the openness and the trust that Luiza gives to travelers, and it’s nice to see how many become true friends. The principle of volunteering there is self-management and flexibility; however, I felt a bit of a lack of more well-established dynamics, but overall, I was well received, but I had to leave a week in advance.

Our experience at the house was deeply inspiring and transformative. From the first day we felt part of a living space, where creation, care, and exchange happen naturally. The creative work was always flexible and aligned with our abilities, allowing us to contribute from what we are and learn new things every day. Luiza is a sensitive host, open to dialogue and very attentive to the well-being of those who pass through her house; working with her was a human experience before being a professional one.
