My experience at the hostel the hostel was a pleasant experience.
I was there during the off-season, so there weren't many people and the weekly tasks were very calm.
Max let me organize myself as I wished for what there was to do.

Mel and Max are amazing hosts; I felt welcome from the moment I walked through the door! During my stay in El Calafate, I made new friends. I was the only volunteer and my schedule was from 6:30 to 11:30 in the morning. I helped prepare breakfast for the guests and afterwards I took care of cleaning the bathrooms and making the beds. Max and Mel also work with you, so they never leave you alone with everything. The hostel is in a great location, with amazing views, and only a 10-minute walk from the center. I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel!

Saga was invaluable at our hostel. From the moment she arrived, she showed a great willingness to help, both with guests and with the hostel's tasks. She is very active and proactive, anticipating what is needed. She quickly learned the reception system and handled it in a few hours. Her dedication and energy were essential to our new venture. I felt at home from the first day, Max, Meli and their dog Viernes welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like one more member of the family. It's a hostel with a very special energy where a community with the rest of the travelers is created, super beautiful. What a stroke of luck to end up here by chance and be able to say that I have a home on the other end of the world. A piece of me stays in Calafate! P.S.
