I had a great stay! The cat is adorable and such good company. The centre in Hannover is a wonderful place to volunteer: the team is really friendly and welcoming.

From the very beginning, she was very clear about the tasks involved during the volunteering experience. The work itself wasn't much, but it felt meaningful and important to me. Taking care of her cat was wonderful — the cat is sweet and very calm. Her apartment is cozy and a perfect place to relax. The train station is only a 10-minute walk away, and the nearest supermarket is just 5 minutes away. I would completely recommend her. She is kind, helpful, and guides you through everything, making the volunteering experience much easier and genuinely enjoyable. Thank you for everything 💕

Alexandra was a really well organized host, making everything clear and easy to understand. She has really interesting stories and its fun hearing her.
My task were to take care of Mr. Cat, which is a really peaceful, lovely and playful cat. I also helped at the bilingual children center with taking out the Xmas decorations and helping with the spring ones.
For food, you can use everything in the kitchen and you also receive money for buying other ingredients.
She was really understanding and nice with me.
I wish her and Mr. Cat all the best. The project she has is really important

My tasks were to keep Alex's apartment clean and take care of Mr. Cat. He was the perfect stress reliever when I was studying ❤️. Occasionally I'd help out at the school. I've made a few new friends (including Alex) with whom I've had lovely conversations with. Alex was communicative about exactly what I had to do and when. She's a very experienced volunteer host and you can see it in how she treats you. She was also kind enough to let me stay an extra night when I was stuck in town due to bad weather conditions. Overall, I had a great time and wish everyone at the school all the best!

Alex and all the teachers at Märchenkoffer are simply amazing. They put love and care into every single activity, and they made sure that I always felt at home and welcomed despite the language barrier. I was taken on as a graphic designer, but I also helped with a wide range of different tasks, from creating content to painting, and it was really inspiring and fun for me. At the moment, the accommodation isn't ideal, since it is 40 minutes away from the kids' center in Hannover. However I can only thank everyone for letting me live this short but lovely experience.

I had a great time volunteering at the school! Alexandra and Dana were really welcoming and always made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. At the school, I supported a wide array of tasks from after-school care and cooking with the children, to parent handoff and end-of-day clean-up. I also got to assist with the Music Camp over the holidays, which was a great way to immerse myself in the teaching profession and learn from local staff. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to get a hands-on experience of the field and grow their Russian vocabulary.

My experience was short but I really enjoyed it! Alex and Dana are super nice, I was able to work in my field and exchange ideas with other people. The workflow was very smooth, and you have a lot of autonomy while working. I wish I had gotten to know more about the school environment and the classes, but it was the school vacations. You are amazing, and the project is beautiful!

Although Alex was out-of-town working during most of my stay, she still sent me clear instructions everyday on what to do. Some of the things I did was make a sensory board for the kids, bike around town delivering fliers to businesses, and use the public transportation to go put posters throughout the city. This helped me explore a lot of Hannover which is a beautiful place! Just be prepared to spend a lot of the days working by yourself. Dana is really nice, and a great cook! I also loved playing with Mr. Cat :) and already miss him. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to volunteer at MK!

It was a great pleasure to take part in the school daily life! My tasks included promoting bilingual school with posters across the city, which helped a lot in exploring the town, helping with cleaning and some school preparation processes, and most valuable - taking part in the organization of the event for children. It was a diverse and educational experience and I am grateful for the opportunity to explore the non-profit school system and meet many great people. Alexandra and Dana were extremely welcoming and really nice, Dana's cooking was just amazing and I had a great time overall!
