The Experience

Hey lovely humans! We’re a small German–Catalan family living off-grid in the stunning Els Ports mountains. We’re looking for motivated people who love nature and want to help us build, garden, create, learn, and laugh together 🌿💛. We offer a beautiful spot for your van or tent — or you can stay in our cozy cabin — plus tasty meals, an outdoor shower, amazing views, starry nights, and pure mountain spirit ✨🌌.

The hosts gave me a very warm welcome in their family. The work is varied and adjusted to your personal interests and experience. I mainly worked outside. Flexibility is a keyword in my stay here and ran both ways. The kids are wonderfull and very outdoorsy. The hosts preferred speaking English with me, and the family is fluent in German and Spanish.

My 6 day stay with Ela and David was first and most positively memorable worldpackers experience. Already before arriving I felt very welcomed, when I was not able to arrive the day we had agreed, Ela was understandable about, making me feel at ease. My tasks were some of the best since it fit perfectly with my abilities, which was cooking lunch and dinner for them and playing with their two beautiful children. I also had much time to just chill, went for a hike in the mountains, since there wasn't a set work amount it was about going with the flow. I was also invited for kayaking! so cool.
